It’s surrounded by beautiful, forested sections and plenty of steep hills, which I absolutely love. The scenery alone is worth the visit. The staff, overall, are excellent. I'd say 99% of them are kind, helpful, and easy to talk to. The desk and kitchen staff in particular are topnotch, friendly, attentive, and great at what they do. The food is surprisingly good, too. The club sandwich is one of the best I’ve had (as long as they have turkey or ham in stock), and the fried chicken sandwich is honestly better than one from a well-known local spot I won’t name, and it’s less than half the price. The small outdoor seating area offers a breathtaking view. They are in the process of enlarging this space at the time of this writing. I’ll try to upload some photos, especially of the wild horses I spotted just beyond the fence near the forested section beside the 9th hole. It’s the kind of peaceful, natural beauty that really sets this place apart. Lastly, a shoutout to the mowing crew. I’m not a great golfer by any means, but they’ve always gone out of their way to pause, wave, and let me play through without making me feel rushed. That kind of patience and professionalism doesn’t go unnoticed. All in all, this place is a gem.

Played on April 29, 2025. This is Mountain Golf. Use a cart unless you are in top physical condition. Should you wonder off the fairways, which is easy to do with the number of hills, you will find tons of poison ivy and oak. On this particular day the entire course including the greens had been aerated. This made for some very bumpy greens. The biggest factor for the low rating is the grounds keeping staff was not trained in golf etiquette at all. After teeing off at one hole, we picked up our balls and moved to the next hole because the three mowers on the fairway did not give us the right away. They expected us to play around them. Other personnel would stand yards from the tee box or a shot which was distracting and the expectation was you would not accidentally hit them. They were all wearing noise canceling gear so there’s no way they could hear you yell fore, which we had to do once. It was so noisy with all the mowers around us, that while the scenery was beautiful , it was not peaceful. We stopped after 9 holes, and normally we’ll play through anything (cold, rain) We play often and thought we’d give Tally Mountain a try today. We won’t make that mistake again- very disappointed.

Nice people. Course is typical of one in the country. Only one around for miles. Course is kept well.

Absolute abysmal price for the worst course you’ll ever see in your life. The greens were so abhorrent that you could have putted blindfolded and got closer to the pin than trying to scope out a line across the sand dunes of Sahara. Like why is there sand on the green? The price is honestly the worst part but they know that there aren’t any other courses near by so the jack them up.

We went Saturday February 8th and there was no marshal to keep things going smoothly. We were rushed and didn’t even get to play all of the course. We went in and expressed we weren’t happy with it. The two young girls inside were sweet but didn’t know what to do because the manager wasn’t there and the marshal had left at 2pm. The manager got on the phone with us and said she would call us back with a day for us to come back and play on them. My fiancé just talked to the owner and he was extremely rude. We have spent a lot of money up there and we have never complained, even though we could have a couple times! This past Saturday was the worse experience we have ever had at a golf course! We will not be back! Very poor management!
