Arthur Hills carved Oakridge through hardwoods and marsh fingers, emphasizing angles off the tee and contour around the greens. The design rewards shaping shots to preferred sides of fairways for the best approach trajectories. Subtle green fall-offs and closely mown collection areas ask players to deploy bump-and-runs and soft spinners alike. Wind off the marsh and a pair of stout par 3s keep scoring honest even when the driver cooperates. A strong practice complex helps members dial in carries and trajectories before a course that prizes placement over brute force.
