We are in the second day of our stay and continue to be disappointed. No coffee maker in the room, no body wash in the bathroom, dirty carpet with stains. Today we went inquire about our dinner reservations that we made over a week ago and we were told that we did not have a reservation. They did offer to get the manager however we decided we did not want to give this place any more of our money. This is an expensive hotel and we did not mind paying the nightly rate of over $400 however I expected better. On the positive side the pool and the ocean access are perfect. We love St Simon’s and will definitely be back but not here. Update day 3 elevator broken! 😡

We stayed at The King and Prince Hotel in St. Simons Island for a night, and the experience was well, underwhelming considering the price we paid and the fact that it markets itself as a “resort”. The room itself was pretty standard bedroom. The bathroom was okayish—they just had soap instead of body wash, shampoo and conditioner that you find in other similarly priced hotels. The room seemed dated, I get that they might be trying to go for a “heritage” feel, but it felt antiquated. The breakfast wasn’t included in the hotel price too, which itself was quite steep. The staff at the reception was kind and polite, and they helped us with a speedy check-in and check-out. The property itself is huge with many rooms and common areas. There’s a dining restaurant downstairs called ECHO where they serve breakfast in the morning. Parking is available for free. Overall, it was an average experience staying at this hotel.

The King and Prince Beach Resort was such a lovely experience. The views alone set the tone — calming, expansive, and exactly what you hope for when you escape to the coast. It’s a historic property, and you absolutely feel that in the rooms. You’re not coming here for modern updates, but the character and charm more than make up for it. What truly stayed with me were the little moments: the thoughtful service, the comfortable amenities, and most of all, the sunrise. Watching the sun come up over the water was unforgettable — one of those rare moments that remind you why you travel in the first place. A beautiful stay from start to finish.

The King & Prince was our wedding venue this past October, and everything from the service and location to the food and responsiveness was phenomenal. We can’t recommend Sarah, the event coordinator, highly enough. She worked within our budget and helped bring our dream to life. Our guests who stayed had wonderful experiences, and we felt cared for throughout the entire weekend. Choose The King & Prince as your venue—you won’t regret it!

The room we rented was very SMALL. Bathroom was the size of a closet with NO HEAT and very old leaking fixtures. Old louvered swinging doors for the bathroom (I guess so heat might filter in). Terrible TV with shadow over the lower part of screen (which they offered to change out if we had stayed). Elevator didn't work so their staff helped us carry up luggage 3 flights of stairs. We paid for 3 nights in advance via Orbitz. After being very disappointed, we tried to check-out (not even using the room) but King and Prince staff refused to refund ANY of the unused nights saying Orbitz/Expedia was responsible. Orbitz said the hotel was responsible for a refund. We even offered to let them keep one night rent even though we didn't use the room in hopes they would credit / refund the two other nights, but they said no. Since we didn't cancel within the hotel's policy time-line, we did not get any refund or credits. We left and rented at another hotel. What a waste of money. Lesson learned.... don't pay in advance on Orbitz and don't rent a room that we hadn't seen in advance. Pictures of the guest rooms and bathrooms at King & Prince hotel are very deceiving.
