Got to play here on my birthday and was such an awesome experience. Everything from the moment we arrived was great. The bag check guys were super nice, clubhouse attendant was super informing and answered any questions we had. We played the highlands course and was so much fun and a great layout. The course was in great shape with unreal views. Had lunch after our round and was so good. The short par 3 course is some of the most fun I’ve had with my friends since we played till the sun went down. Yes it is a little pricey but definitely worth every cent. Can’t wait to be back and play the keep

A high end golf resort and community that is perfect for corporate retreats, vacations, and golf trips with friends. Everything is impeccably maintained. There are multiple golf courses to play with amazing cliff top views. The restaurants have superb service, excellent food, and beautiful settings. We rented a new house that was set up well for our group of 8. There is a high end hotel directly on the golf course with an infinity pool situated on the cliff edge. I highly recommend this resort for your next golf trip.

This review is of the golf courses only. Highlands course 4 out of 5 - Played here this week and have to say it is the one of the most picturesque golf course I have ever played. Even these pictures do not do it justice. From a pure golf course standpoint the course is good not great. I found some of the holes to be quite quirky where you will want to rethink your gameplay after seeing the actual hole. Ideally this is a shot placement course not allowing for grip it and rip it. The greens are bent grass and held shots well. They were not overly fast but generally the rule is everything will break towards the valley. Maybe a 10 or 11 on the stint. The fairways were above average, not great with plenty of areas that were resodded or needing to be redone. The Keep 5 out of 5 - also played here this week. This is only 18 mths old and you can tell by the resodded fairways that it isn't there yet. I expect in 3 to 5 years this place will almost be able to name their price as the views here are even better than the Highlands. Our group of 16 couldn't believe a golf course could have these kind of views. The greens here are bent grass but way faster and more undulating than at the Highlands. I suspect these were closer to a 13 or 14 on the stint. Fairways need time to settle in with 5 or 6 of them having been resodded over the last 1 to 2 months. This should be a bucket listed golf destination for east coast golfers! I cannot wait to bring my 3 handicapper son to play here. The Keep in particular blew away my expectations despite the fairways resodding. My only knock at the Keep were the caddies. Both in our group could not read a green nor provided much guidance on tee shots for what to avoid. If a course requires caddies then my expectations would be that these are seasoned and more helpful.

My wife and I stayed at the Mclemore for a weekend getaway. Hospitality was incredible! All the restaurants were very good. Everything far exceeded our expectations! I did play golf at the Highlands course. The views were insane. Greens were pure and rolled true. Coach T (Highlands starter) was the best in the game. Every staff member we encountered was very helpful and top tier. We will absolutely be back!

My group of 8 highly disappointed in our recent visit to McLemore. Given the positive press and reviews, we were expecting a Bandon/Sand Valley/Cabot experience. It wasn’t even close. The condition of The Highlands course was abysmal. When we brought it up, we were informed the course conditions were actually “ahead of schedule” for this time of year. The president of McLemore added we should have known the photos on Instagram featuring pristine conditions portrayed “peak season,” not late April. We understand and won’t make that mistake again.
