It’s a nice layout! A good bit of elevation change and sloping fairways that require accurate tee shots! Greens were a little rough but a good deal for the price. Will definitely play again!!

If you want to play golf in Milledgeville, you can either join the country club or you can play here. There are no other options. I play here regularly, and I enjoy it. It’s a municipal course and the green fees are inexpensive, so adjust your expectations accordingly. If there has been enough rain, the fairways are fairly nice. It is difficult to predict the speed of the greens. They can range from very slow to pretty fast. Hole # 14 is my favorite and #5 is also nice. #18 is possibly the worst designed hole I’ve ever played. You can hit a beautiful tee shot straight down the center of the fairway only to discover that your ball rolled into the water hazard on the left due to the steep sideways slope of the fairway that you can’t see from the tee box. If your ball stops short of the water, you still have a difficult side hill lie to contend with. Anyway, a great tee shot deserves a better outcome. They are getting new carts with GPS soon. I think the money would have been better spent on course maintenance. The cart paths are very rough and the 150 yard markers (bird houses…such a cool idea) are in disrepair. Many of the fairways could be smoothed out a bit. The tee boxes are pretty rough as well. I like the people that run the course and the workers who work there. They have always been friendly and helpful to me. I’ll keep playing here and I would recommend it to others as long as you manage your expectations. If you want optimum conditions, then you pay optimum prices. If you play 18 holes for well under $30, you won’t get optimum conditions.

Went back to this course for the first time in 7 years expecting a great experience, but unfortunately it was disappointing. There were 4 greens under repair, and overall the course maintenance clearly wasn’t where it should be. The conditions didn’t match what you’d expect for the price or reputation. It’s always tough returning to a place with good memories and leaving let down. Hoping they invest in improvements, because right now the course is far from its potential.

Great people, great course, and great price. I would definitely recommend this course. Update 2026 The place has gone to the dogs due to county incompetence. Four greens on the front 9 look like they've been hit with artillery rounds. I heard today that they are going to fix them next year. Been a member for 10 years playing multiple times per week. I never got an email or anything saying they were sorry for the inconvenience. I really think members should be compensated for that inconvenience. One last thing my complaint has nothing to do with the workers at the golf course. Kyle and his crew did everything they could to make it a fun place to golf. It's all the county managers that dropped the ball on the renovation project. I don't know what happened but again I think they should at the very least apologize to the members.
