Overall, nice golf course. Friendly staff members, descent practice facility. Average pace of play during masters weekend. Fairways are wide open bunkers are in descent shape. Greens had spots here and there that needed attention. Would recommend and play again.

I've been connected to Applewood Golf Course since the mid-nineties when I first met the owners shortly after they purchased the property. Even back then, their passion for the game and their commitment to building a welcoming golf community were clear. Today, it’s incredible to see how that vision has flourished. Applewood is one of those rare courses that combines great layout, friendly service, and a genuine family feel. The course is always well-maintained, the staff is consistently helpful, and there’s a level of pride in the operation that you simply don’t find everywhere. It’s the kind of place where both seasoned players and weekend golfers feel right at home. Watching it grow over the years has been a pleasure, and every visit reminds me why it’s one of the best values and most enjoyable rounds you can find in the area. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great day of golf.

Played here the day after the Masters. Conditions a little worse than Augusta National. The good: Friendly staff in Pro Shop Easy to get tee time Played 18 holes in 2 hrs and 15 minutes by myself as the second person out. $43 greens fees with cart. The Bad: Probably the worst conditions I have ever played at. Could not really tell where the fairway was versus the ruff and crab grass everywhere. Greens horrible with rough patches on every hole. Grounds crew unaware or did not care that there were golfers playing. Followed the Dirt Blower guy on about 7 holes. I got what I paid for and a quick round was nice but this course seriously needs to improve their maintenance and conditions.

Drove 35 minutes from Augusta to play here. There’s no starter so someone jumped in front of us before our tee time. We know this because we knew the group in front of them and what their tee time was. The greens are complete trash do not waste your time coming here at this time. April 4th The fairways are not much better. It has an ok layout and could be fun if it was maintained. Tee boxes were super tall Greens half dead. We left after 9 holes. It was a completely wasted day. We are here for an event on Sunday so we could not try for a rain check . Would not play again if I had one. Such a disappointment. I would rate no stars if I could. Didn’t take photos …. Should have to warn others. People that were 2 groups ahead of us also left after 9 holes Number 10 was backed up with 8 carts waiting, two carts in fairway with hands on hips waiting on group in front of them. Spend the money you rake in on the course. There was no warning about the greens being half dead and possibly recovering from aeration . Do not come here if you want nice greens and a ranger or a starter . It is a free for all. PERIOD

The fairways are plush. The greens are coming back. Once they get there it will rate higher. Our sand bottle was only 1/4 full. Fill them up so pivots can be filled.
