From the moment we arrived, Kate and Tony went above and beyond to make her day truly special. The team greeted us with genuine smiles and took the time to learn a bit about Mom’s interests. We are truly grateful for the thoughtful touches that were arranged with care, all coordinated seamlessly by the staff. Our servers were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The entire team checked in at just the right moments, creating a relaxed, joyful atmosphere. The course itself was pristine, the pace was perfect, and the scenic views created a peaceful backdrop for celebrating. Mom’s joy was infectious, and we could see how much the staff’s kindness meant to her—an experience she will remember for years to come. We left feeling not just well cared for, but truly appreciated as guests. Cateechee Golf Course didn’t just deliver a great round of golf; they delivered a celebration that honored my mom in the most thoughtful way. To anyone considering a special occasion at Cateechee, I cannot recommend them highly enough. One-Star Review Easter Weekend Stay at Cateechee Golf Course – Disappointed and Concerned I rented all four suites at the Cateechee Golf Course lodging for Easter weekend, and I have to say, the experience was incredibly disappointing. From the very first night, things started going wrong. The entry doors didn’t work properly, and if one of our group hadn’t already been inside, we would’ve been completely locked out. None of the air conditioners worked across all four suites, and in 80-degree weather, that made for a very uncomfortable stay. To make matters worse, there was no maid service the entire weekend, no trash pickup, no fresh towels, and no linen changes. Sleeping in those conditions caused health issues for family members with asthma and allergies. It was unacceptable to go the entire weekend without the most basic accommodations and care. What made it even more frustrating was the complete lack of support. There were no after-hours staff, no posted emergency contact info, and the number we were given never got a response. I finally saw someone from the team on Sunday morning and reported everything. Later that evening, well after the report, a pro golfer (not a lodging or management staff member) stopped by, but no qualified team members ever followed up or made resolving the situation a priority. After the trip, I tried reaching out, but no one would accept or return my calls. When I finally got a response, I was told it was my fault for not reporting the problems sooner, despite there being no available way to do so. To be fair, the food and bar service were excellent. The meals were well-prepared and the staff in that area were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the lodging experience overshadowed everything else. For the amount I paid, this experience deserves zero stars, but since one is the lowest option available, that’s what it gets. I strongly hope the facility puts proper staffing, emergency protocols, and guest support systems in place before booking more guests.

Traveled over 1 hours to play this course after talking to Nathan on the phone confirming they have a student rate. Arrive 30 minutes before the tee time to be hit with “We don’t have a student rate anymore.” - Ethan. After teeing off we noticed how terribly kept the greens and fairways were. For 100 dollars you would think this course would be in pristine condition. WRONG. Can’t believe new management could mess a course up this badly. They also loaded up tee sheet and stacked multiple times on top of each other resulting in a 5 and half hour round. Over priced golf, take notes to go back to charging 55-60 dollars for regular times.

They just went under new management and it is not going well. They told us over the phone they had a student discount and when we arrived after an hour drive they said that they won’t be offering us the discount. The fairways were not mowed (weeds everywhere) couldn’t tell difference between rough and fairway. The tee boxes weren’t well kept. The greens were patchy and covered with weeds. They loaded up the tee sheet and we had a 5.5 hr round. For 100$ would never come back.
