Description

Okefenokee CC sits on gently rolling ground near the Satilla River and leans into its natural sand and pine landscape. Joe Lee's routing uses broad corridors and strategic bunkers to challenge position play off the tee. Water hazards frame several approaches but rarely force impossible carries. Greens present subtle internal movement, making distance control and imagination around the collar important. It's a classic southeastern parkland experience with room off the tee and plenty of nuance at the hole.

I was hesitant to post this review out of selfishness. I don’t want everyone to know about this gem of a course and club. I have been playing golf for over 50 years. This country club has spoiled me for all others. The facilities are great, the staff is awesome, the course is very well maintained and the members will make you feel welcome. There is very rarely a wait on any hole.

Beautiful layout with slight terrain along the Satilla River. Greens are full & roll true with proper speeds. Public play allowed on Tuesday & Thursday. Truly a gem in the Waycross area.
