Played two days with my buddy Todd and some other members. I enjoyed the company and the Golf Course! From tee to green, the course was in great shape! Very challenging, but fair, the course presented many challenges and rewards! A friendly staff added to the experience! Please don’t forget The Grill because the food is delicious! Review of Forest Hills Golf Club – Augusta, Georgia Forest Hills Golf Club is a true gem in Augusta. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the hospitality—everyone from the management to the membership and even the attendants are incredibly friendly. There’s just a great energy in the building, like you’re part of a welcoming golf family. The cart paths are in excellent shape, and I have to say—these carts are next-level. I normally hate GPS carts, but I broke my own rule here. That’s how smooth, clean, and high-tech they were. Absolute game-changer. Even though the greens were aerated during our visit, they were still rolling nicely. You can tell the grounds crew takes pride in keeping the course in great shape. The views across the course are stunning—hard to believe there’s anything more beautiful, but it does make you wonder what Augusta National must look like if this place is any indication. Inside, the service was just as impressive. The waitstaff was attentive, kind, and eager to help. It’s the little things that elevate an experience, and Forest Hills nails all the details. Home to the Augusta State University golf team—two-time national champions—you even get to see their dorms on the property, which adds a touch of prestige to the whole place. Overall, this course is remarkable. Great people, great conditions, and a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.

★★★★★ Hidden Gem in Augusta Forest Hills Golf Club is a classic Donald Ross design (1926) and a true hidden gem. I’ve played many Ross courses, including Pinehurst, Mid Pines, and Southern Pines, and this course is every bit as good—at a fraction of the price. It’s also the home course of the Augusta University men’s and women’s golf teams, which says a lot. Course conditions were outstanding, especially considering the dormant season, The bunkers are crisp and hand raked, just like they do at Augusta National a lot of places, Pinehurst included, even on their marquee courses, only die their teas and greens, at FHGC even fairways were green . Shout out to Marc at the counter, and the gentleman who greeted me in the parking lot with a cart as soon as my car was parked. Top rate service. As a golf course owner, I look for operational excellence—and Forest Hills delivers. Highly recommended. This if you are coming to Augusta!

This is a Donald Ross design that they are struggling to get the greens to behave. If the greens were better, 5 stars all the way. I loved the course, but the greens weren’t good when I played it. Hopefully they have fixed that. The clubhouse sandwich at the turn was fantastic and I’d play here again just for the sandwich.

I played at Forest Hills Golf Club for the first time in a long while today ⛳️ It was such a last-minute round after getting a sudden phone call, and I arrived late for my tee time 😅 But the manager went above and beyond — he personally brought the golf cart all the way to the parking lot for me 🚙✨ I was honestly so surprised and touched by that kindness. The hospitality, quick thinking, and positive energy made the whole experience feel extra special 🙌 Thank you for the thoughtful service and passion you show to your guests!
