The Ross Course at Athens Country Club preserves Donald Ross's classic rhythms-subtle elevation changes, strategic angles, and greens that defend with contour rather than bulk. Routing across rolling terrain gives varied stances and approaches, keeping the round lively from start to finish. Ross's influence is evident in the way short sides are punished and the safest line from the tee is rarely the best. A strong practice complex and 27-hole setup allow the club to support robust member play. Conditioning emphasizes firm, fast surfaces that let ground options shine.

One of the best country clubs in GA that I was lucky to play. Great layout (although way too many fade shots required off the tee - didn't suit my game 😣), perfect conditions, greens smooth and fast - great experience!

Athens CC punches Way higher than its weight class! What a terrific old classic Ross track. Truly special place with a terrific membership. It was a pleasant surprise
