It is truly a shame what has happened at Weston Hills Country Club. This club has two of the best golf layouts in Broward County. The courses are challenging, interesting, and aesthetically beautiful. Having played both courses every week for the past four years, I can say without hesitation that the designs never get old. However, the courses are in awful shape by even the most generous standards This is not about perfection or nitpicking minor maintenance issues. Both courses are currently in conditions well below municipal standards — let alone what should be expected from a private club. The greens, which were replaced just three years ago, have deteriorated into surfaces that are often more dirt and sand than turf. Fairways remain wet and muddy in the winter. In the summer the fairways are pretty much unplayable, with balls frequently plugging. When competitive tournaments require lift, clean, and place as a standing local rule, that speaks volumes. What makes the situation even more disappointing is that Weston Hills is genuinely a great place to be. The membership is not made up of stereotypical country club snobs — it’s a community of hardworking professionals who truly love the game. The golf is competitive, the groups are welcoming, and there are many outstanding individuals to play with. The staff works hard and consistently goes above and beyond. The food is solid and hearty, and management has done a commendable job updating the dining areas. Demand for golf in South Florida has surged post-COVID, while supply has shrunk due to the housing boom. Private clubs like Weston should be premier golf destinations in this environment. Arcis Golf clearly understands the market — dues and initiation fees have increased accordingly. Yet somehow, course conditions have declined. Over the past year, I have found myself reluctant to invite guests or business associates to play — not because of the atmosphere, but because of the embarrassment over course conditions. That should never be the case at a club of this stature. These courses were built in the 1990s and even hosted PGA Tour events. It is hard to understand how, with today’s technology and golf course maintenance advances, they are in worse condition than they were decades ago. It is time for Arcis to make serious, permanent, and meaningful investments in course restoration. The excuses have run their course. Weston Hills has the foundation, the membership, and the demand to be a premier South Florida golf destination again — but only if Arcis commits to restoring the courses to the standard they deserve.

The Club at Weston Hills provided phenomenal and exceptional support in hosting our Victoria Venezuela Foundation Golf Charity Tournament this November 2025. Thanks to their dedication and hospitality, the event was a resounding success—helping us impact the lives of over 1,000 children through education, nutrition, and healthcare initiatives. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was handled with excellence, flexibility, and genuine care. Their personal touch created an atmosphere that made the day not only seamless but truly memorable for all our guests. Special recognition goes to Jon Banas, Brian Pennington, Suzanne Hunt, and Kenneth Brooks, along with the entire team, whose professionalism and heartfelt commitment amplified the success of the tournament. Their service reflected the highest standards and made everyone feel valued throughout the day. We are proud to have partnered with The Club at Weston Hills and look forward to continuing this collaboration next year to build on such a remarkable experience and expand the impact for even more children.

Sad and Embarrassed As someone who has lived in the community and been a member of this club for more than 15 years, it’s truly sad to see the overall condition of these once beautiful golf courses.. Arcis, you should be ashamed of the product you are delivering to your loyal members and the City of Weston. Im truly embarrassed to invite a guest to my home county club. Arcis, please consider investing in making weston hills a club we members can be proud of or simply sell and give someone else the opportunity to invest in our home…. The City of Weston and it’s residents have so much to be proud of, get with the program or get out, you’re your truly bringing us down……

Weston Hills Country Club is an absolute gem. The course is always in amazing condition, the atmosphere is top-tier, and the overall experience feels first class every single time. Huge shoutout to Bernie, who makes scheduling tee times incredibly easy and smooth. He’s always helpful, professional, and makes the whole process stress-free. That kind of service really elevates the experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great round of golf and outstanding service.

Been a golf member for over 10 years and despite repeated promises that the course conditions will improve they simply have not (they have gotten worse) I played both courses this past weekend and the greens were in terrible shape and are a mix of mud and dirt with a little grass sprinkled in and the edges are all GUR. The bunkers are bunker edges are poorly maintained as well. When will Arcis fix the courses to an acceptable condition for a private club? They Raised our dues and given us a worse product. Makes no sense to me.
