Played it November of 25. It was firm and fast. I’ve been a fan of this club since the 90’s. Great staff. Always keep an eye on the water’s edge 😳

First the good… - All of the staff I encountered were excellent! - pace of play was excellent. Played in 4 hours on Saturday morning. The bad … The course is in terrible condition. This is not because of drought. I live in the area and play many courses here. A shame to see what was once a top course in this condition. Tee boxes and fairways are just weeds. Greens do not roll true and are just so bad. Pictures from the middle of the fairways as an example.

Great track, horrible maintenance. Weedy, patchy, appears to be underfunded. Unplayable lies all day. So much potential wasted. Bathrooms on course are dumps. Some greens are rough. Probably fine if you're used to municipals or dog-tracks. Other better options in the area for good golf.

We booked Fox Hollow Golf Course as part of our annual birthday golf weekend, and honestly, it was the worst round of the trip by far. The course is in rough shape—dry, patchy, and clearly not well maintained. The greens were okay, but everything else looked neglected. For a course that markets itself as a quality experience, this was pretty disappointing. But the real issue? The pace of play was an absolute joke. Our round took over 5 and a half hours. That’s not just slow—that’s completely unacceptable. We spoke to the cart attendant, who even admitted it was taking way too long and said there’s usually a ranger managing things… except we never saw one the entire round. To put it into perspective, we played Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club the day before—a tougher, hillier course in excellent condition—and finished in 3 hours and 45 minutes with three walking groups ahead of us. So no, the issue here is not “golf being slow”—it’s poor management. The cherry on top was the pro shop staff. When we brought up the 5+ hour round, the man behind the counter was dismissive and had an attitude, insisting it “wasn’t long.” He claimed their pace is 4 hours and 50 minutes(which is unheard of), which doesn’t even line up with reality—our cart literally showed we were over a hour behind pace on 18. This was supposed to be a special birthday round, and instead it turned into a frustrating, drawn-out experience with zero accountability from staff. Between the poor course conditions, lack of any pace control, and rude response from the pro shop, I would absolutely not recommend Fox Hollow Golf Course. Definitely go to Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club instead—it was an incredible experience and honestly didn’t even feel like we were in Florida with how beautiful the landscape was.

I want to preface by saying, this is one of the best and beautifully designed courses in the state of Florida. However, I was quite appalled by the course conditions on today. I'm not sure what's going on but it looks like the course hasn't been watered in quite some time. Tons of weeds and burned out grass. In particular, in areas where the sprinklers are located. I know there is a drought going on but I see neglect going on and it's disappointing to see for what I consider a high level track. I hit my approach shot on the green and a pile of sand just shot up in the air. The price my group paid did not justify the conditions of this track. In particular, the greens. You aerate the greens and don't discount the prices? I've seen better courses discount and you can't? I love this course, love the neighborhood, just shocked what I saw on today. Truly disappointed.
