Solid course. I enjoyed the round. Pace of play was great, greens were nearly perfect. Only downsides would be some fairways on the front 9 were a bit patchy and tee boxes were sub par. It was soggy when I played but after a day of hard rain I can’t complain. Clubhouse was very nice and pro shop workers were kind and helpful. Overall really enjoyed the day and the whole layout was great. Would totally play again.

Overall, it was a solid course with a nice layout. The greens were in good shape—smooth and maintained. It rained for like 15 mins while we were there, and the fairways got spongy. There were a lot of soggy spots (it hadn't rained in the area for a few days). The tee boxes were also a letdown, with many either overgrown or noticeably worn down. Aside from that, course conditions were decent, and the pace of play was good. With some improvements to the tee areas, this could be a top-tier local course.

Dear Bent Tree Sarasota owners, I am writing to bring to your attention the unprofessional treatment we received from your clubhouse staff and management today. We are seasoned golfers who play at courses all over the country, and we were deeply disappointed by the lack of courtesy shown to us. Due to waking up ill this morning, we called to reschedule our tee time, but the staff refused to even discuss the matter. We later visited the course in person to see if we could pivot to playing nine holes instead of 18, or if we could reschedule for tomorrow. Again, the staff refused to engage in a conversation and informed us that we would not be allowed to reschedule and would forfeit our entire payment. Throughout these interactions, we were treated with a complete lack of respect. It is clear from our experience, and from similar feedback on various review sites, that there are significant issues with the current management and staff at the clubhouse. I am disappointed to have spent so much money at your facility only to be treated so poorly. I strongly suggest reviewing your current management team and staff training to ensure other golfers do not have the same experience. It is disappointing when rigid policies take precedence over basic consideration for guests who are genuinely unwell. This was especially frustrating given that two people were affected. Regarding the course itself, the experience did not justify the fees charged. The greens were inconsistent, and although the course layout was changed several years ago, signage remains confusing, with multiple hole numbers still in use (for example, what was once Hole 13 is now Hole 5). To make matters worse, we are still sick. 🤢

We played Tuesday after driving down from Bradenton area without a tee time. For some reason hardly anyone one was playing the course. The course was in good shape, and the greens were in awesome shape. They putted smooth and true. Some of the tee boxes were needing some grass seed, but the course itself was nice and fun to play. Why will you not accept tee times without a payment, both online and by phone (which is not connected to the clubhouse) you have to pay first? WHY??? Of course it is cheaper to pay online, but it should be the same price when paying in person, not $10.00 more. I have two other friends that would like to play, but I am not going to pay for their fees when making our tee time. The only other course that does this is Tatum Ridge and both of you had empty online tee sheets for almost every day. All the other course we play down here are almost full and they let you call the clubhouse to get your tee times and let you pay when you show up. You might get more play because the way it is now no one is filling both of these tee sheets online or by phone. Maybe try joining the Big Summer Golf Club again, they have great places to play and great prices!!!!

Played there last February on Super Bowl Sunday in the morning - decent shape, price was very fair. Had a great time.
