Really enjoyed my round at Riverside Golf Club. The greens were the standout and in mostly great shape, rolling well and keeping the course moving in the right direction. Some fairways and tee boxes showed wear, likely from the recent dry and colder weather, but it did not take away from the overall experience. The setting along the Little Manatee River and the clubhouse location give the course a relaxed old Florida feel. After the round I had a mushroom Swiss burger with sweet potato fries and a draft Stella at the bar and grille for about $20 and it definitely hit the spot. Just know there is no turn snack area or cart service, so bring something with you for the round. Overall a solid experience with strong greens and a great riverside atmosphere.

First time playing the course and it was super windy out today. Shorter course than I usually play, but, having local course knowledge is a definite must. Lost several shots that looked amazing off the tee but ended up in unknown hazards. Also, got to see a large alligator chilling on the bank. Greens must have been sanded this past week, lots of pebbles out there. Rolled medium to fast. Tee boxes were a little suspect though. Will try to play again some time next year.

A nice semi private course. It winds its way around the development. Most holes are interesting. Small greens and it’s very tight especially the back 9. The grill is great. Very nice experience overall!

Riverside Bar & Grill: Great food, slow service The food at Riverside Bar & Grill was delicious! I would definitely recommend trying their chicken tenders. However, the service was quite slow. If they could improve the speed of service and pay more attention to details, it would be an even better dining experience.

It's a very nice little community. We were visiting family. The golf course is fun and challenging. The restaurant and bar are good for how little they are. The pool and hot tubs are great and they have a building for every activity and service. Most everyone we talked to was nice except the few old grumps which you are bound to run into at a retirement community.
