Description

Palm Valley Golf Course in Ponte Vedra Beach is a charming, family-friendly public executive 9-hole par-29 layout (around 1,325–1,425 yards) designed and built in 1989 by Jack and Sue Hord, featuring two par-4s and seven par-3s with well-manicured target greens bordered by sand bunkers and water that add challenge without overwhelming difficulty. This walk-on, no-tee-time-needed track (though reservations are available) emphasizes fun, accuracy, and short-game practice in a peaceful setting surrounded by acres of horse farms in the heart of the Nocatee community. The facility includes grass and mat practice tees, a large 10,000-square-foot putting green, and a relaxed atmosphere ideal for beginners, juniors, or casual golfers seeking quick rounds. Affordable rates and a welcoming vibe make it a local favorite for skill-building or low-key outings. Palm Valley delivers approachable, scenic executive golf with classic Florida charm near St. Augustine.

Lucky enough to live right around the corner from here. It's great for a quick 9 before or after work and maybe the best value in town ($16 for 9 holes, plus discounts for seniors, juniors etc). Family-owned, the owner and staff are super friendly and it's a great casual atmosphere and very family friendly. My 11 year old is learning the game and loves playing here and I don't feel any stress or pressure having a new player out on the course like I might at some of the other courses in town. My parents (in their 70s) who just picked up golf in the last few years play here a couple times a week when they are in town visiting. One of only 2 executive/par 3 courses I know of in town and a better layout and conditions than the other. The owner has put a ton of work into the course over the last few years and it shows. The greens, while rough in some spots have greatly improved (recent overseed helped a lot). On top of the course being a fun layout they have one of the few publicly accessible grass driving ranges around as well as a bunch of Top Tracer bays(Top Golf but outside). and the range is lighted so they are open late. The only other Top Tracer range nearby has recently gone private so having one available here is a bonus.

I’ve been eyeing this course for some time now and I was finally in the area so I decided to stop by to get a quick 9 in. The gentleman at the counter was super nice and helpful, when I asked him if I had time to get a quick 9 loop in he said as long as I was back by sundown I was good to go! The layout of the course is so fun and challenging, it would be great for a group of friends just wanting to chip and putt around. The condition of the course is somewhat rough, I was a bit disappointed in that but it’s still a blast. The greens are super fun to me, they’re the type of greens that are a bit slower but if you hit the line the ball will go in. Super cool that it’s still family owned! I always encourage people to support local. I will for sure be coming back with friends next time!

We love Palm Valley. We play here once a week and never gets old. Greens are always in great condition and course is fun and challenging. The practice facilities are fantastic and they just recently got the course USGA rated!! No carts on this course but push carts are available on site. Go get your steps in!! Play Local!! 🌴🌴

Played Palm Valley this morning and was pleasantly surprised. Couple of fun par 3’s and two short par 4’s. Greens were in pretty good shape and the driving range was excellent. Probably the best way I could imagine spending $16 and an hour of my time. I’ll be back!

Best bang for your buck golf in Florida. Whether you’re teaching your kids how to play golf where you’re going for a casual round after work. This course is something immaculate and something that will very much test your short game. Great greens/practice facilities and an even more impressive owner. I have come to make this place one of my regulars.
