Played Bay Point for the first time 11/16/25. What a treat to play and was a shot makers stay on your game track. True Nicklaus design with deep bunkers (large), water, water and more water, and slope throughout to test any level of golfer. I have played over a half dozen Nicklaus courses and this one is not much different… But he nailed the use of signature hole #6. Picturesque and no miss shots allowed. 5 iron 5 iron on 2 shots to a kidney shaped green on the marsh. I failed. I also salute number 4 green with a 6 foot hill to figure out. I came up short to green and had to putt up the hill… Only to have the ball come back down. I actually love it! 4.5.6 are a bit of what you can call “devils elbow” and the. The course lets you breathe on some par 5’s. Nicklaus wants you to score on par 5’s. Never playing before I recommend the blended tee card. Play tee 3 and 4 in the blend. If your a single handicap no need to play this style. Good to see this type of tee alteration in scoring and handicapping. Greens rolled well and were a good challenge. Well worth the money for this gamer. I’ll be back.

First time on the course. Enjoyed the round. Challenging and fun. You will enjoy hole 5. Picture showes your 1st shot island. Then you come back over water to the green.

Bay Point Golf Club is a great place to enjoy a round of golf. The course is very nice, well maintained, and offers a fun experience for golfers of different skill levels. The layout is enjoyable, the greens are in good shape, and the overall atmosphere makes for a relaxing day outside. The customer service was excellent — the staff was friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Definitely a golf course I would recommend and look forward to visiting again!

Great layout. But went in March and greens had lots of weeds in it, then just went again in may and greens have not been cut. And most tee box’s were not cut either. Had high hopes when playing in March that may would be a lot better in prime season but was not worth the 140 dollar tee time. Will not be back.

Played last this past Sunday and was highly disappointed with the conditions of most of the greens. They hadn't been cut and were overgrown with clumps of some form of growth. For resort course prices, we expected much better. The outside staff was great but the course needs some serious care. Carts still don't have GPS so bring your own.
