Dropped a uber off and couldn’t get out the gate it is broken almost called 9/11

My dad lives at Silver Lakes in a Park Model in Silver Lakes. He and my mom have been here for over 25 years. Very nice retirement community. 9 hole golf course, 3 pools, Pickle Ball courts, Bocce, several pool tables, club house and other amenities that I’m sure I’m forgetting. Very nice place. There are some rental houses, and spots for RVs/Coaches.

We love Silver Lakes and the people. This community offers so much, from activities to events. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. The location is the best, so close to Marco Island and Isle of Capri, lots of shops and restaurants and close to the Everglades. After traveling with our RV from Alaska down to Florida two times, we bought a little house last year and couldn’t be happier.

This is an RV Park where the majority of owners have built Park Models, and limited rentals to a minimum of 1 week or more --- which imho has resulted in lots of open RV sites. 4 years ago they were full with waiting lists. I counted 38 open RV lots on Feb. 2, 2025. A beautiful place with a golf course and 3 swim pools and so much more.

I have been visiting here since 2010. There are some wonderful people in the park who look out for each other. Management has gotten out of control the past few years. They choose to bully certain residents over nonsense about parked cars in driveways, ADA required entrances, who can and can't use the pool and when you sell your house, taking your own furniture that belongs to you. I would look elsewhere if you're buying or renting.
