A typical municipal course with a few holes that have dramatic elevation change. Albeit a little on the short side, I enjoyed myself Most of the holes are narrow, but another fairway is right behind the trees on either side on most holes. The course conditions were good, but keep it in the fairway or you may never find your ball. Both the tee boxes and greens were good but not great condition. Overall it’s a good course for your average golfer to have a good round.

Probably one of the coolest courses I have ever played, the insane elevation changes brings so much life to the course which is very uncommon in Florida. However every green is like a turtle shell, very frustrating how if you don’t hit the middle of the green your ball will roll off. However this is by far the coolest and most beautiful course I have played.

This golf course was absolute blast—and an incredible value. At times, it hardly feels like you’re in Florida… until you glance around and see the beautiful old trees draped in classic Spanish moss, reminding you exactly where you are. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the course itself is clearly well cared for—especially the greens, which were in fantastic shape. There’s a great sense of respect here, almost like an unspoken golfer’s honor system. Everyone seems to genuinely care about the game and about keeping the course in great condition, which makes the experience even better. While the course is a bit shorter than my personal preference, it more than makes up for it with fun, challenging greens and some interesting lies that really make you stop and think through your next shot. Overall, a fun, relaxed, and memorable round. I’ll definitely be back.

Played the course on 3/28. First time out. I was visiting from Buffalo, NY and we had a little bachelor party round with the boys. There were 5 of us and a few don't golf much, if at all. I thought it would be a real train wreck trying to get out as a group of 5 but the head pro was extremely accommodating which was a huge relief. We scrambled to keep pace as best as possible. A few twosomes worked around us but there was no issue. Shoutout to the management for accommodating us. Most courses I play at, I wouldn't dare to even attempt this with snobby rangers always making snarky comments about pace and sticking to the cart path. Mount Dora got it right! Much praise to the staff and management. The course was in great shape on top of it. The layout is phenomenal, making great use of the elevation. The greens were pretty pure as well. The history of the property is interesting as well. We had a great time and will definitely be back to enjoy the beautiful property and wonderful staff again.

Went here today for a charity golf event. The course is beautiful, and the staff is friendly. The drinks were made perfectly and priced fairly too. I'm not a golfer, but if I was, I'd play here for sure. The rolling hills add a challenge and beauty to the course.
