Certainly the most picturesque of the Sandestin golf courses, given its location along the water. Greens were in very good condition, as were fairways. As far as coastal Florida courses, this is on the flatter end, so not a lot of terrain and relatively short. That said, it offers water hazards on most holes so it is absolutely a target course. You can shoot a low score if you keep your shots straight. Many players in our group didn't pull out driver on par 4s and 5s except on about 5-6 holes. Long hitters may prefer another track in the area, as there isn't as much of an opportunity to let the big dog eat. Facilities at The Links could use a face lift, if not a total rebuild. Pro shop building seems really outdated. Cart paths are a bit beat up in places. Practice green has slope towards a small water hazard, and chippers in the practice area can easily lose balls in the water if they are not careful. If scenic views, target golf, and decent greens/fairways are your goal, this course will fit the bill. Enjoy your round!

Ripoff! Setup tee time through Sandestin call center. Told me non rider fee was $22 which is pretty steep. When I arrived for my tee time the Pro shop tells me it’s $35 for non rider. Greens were recently aerated which is fine but they did a poor job with the sand . Maybe all the rain had something to do with it? Anyway, a normally fun golf course was tainted by amateur staff with jacked up fees.

Have played here before but this past morning I played, the experience was poor. They told us the range was closed and that was fine, so everyone was putting on the practice green. One of the mangers came over and started yelling at everyone like they were stupid to get off the putting green because they had fertilized. You would think maybe putting a sign out would be logical here but I guess not. Yelling at paying customers for doing the bare minimum seems a little ridiculous for an overpriced round when there are nicer courses we can go give our money to. Lots of weeds and greens were in mid shape for peak season

I absolutely love this course, and the views along the bay! I typically play here every time I visit which is 3-4 times per year. The only draw back is the staff are not friendly, especially in the pro shop. I see others commenting that everyone is friendly so perhaps they just don’t like seeing women at this course. Hopefully the owner or manager will see this and do some coaching as I love coming to this course otherwise.
