Miami Lakes golf course is what you would expect of a premium golf course. The course itself is pristine with perfect greens. Ideal for someone looking for a premium golf experience. The back 9 has a lot more water, but laterally, so you don’t have to go over water. Lots of high walled sand traps with overhanging lips, so no rolling through them. The greens are also difficult from being lightning fast and very undulating, that will take getting used to. Some literally have hills and valleys. There is one air conditioned rest room on each 9, with a water cooler. A practice range is available and a large putting green. Golf carts are lined up and marked with start times and every time booked so you will be playing with others. Some will take your bag from the drop off to your cart, but you are on your own when leaving. The carts are in good shape with a battery meter, so no worries about a dead cart. The facilities are being rebuilt at the time of this review in April 2026.

I've been very impressed with the course since it reopened. The ownership has done extensive work and clearly put a lot of thought into the redesign and overall layout. While the course is more open than it was previously, it has significantly improved the pace of play. In my opinion, these are some of the toughest greens in South Florida. They roll fast and true, and the amount of undulation throughout the greens is truly impressive. They are definitely not for the faint of heart and will challenge golfers of all skill levels. In the past, the back nine, particularly around the lakes, would flood after heavy rain. I'm happy to say they've successfully addressed that issue. I played shortly after a significant rain event, and the course conditions were outstanding. The course held up remarkably well, and the drainage improvements were evident throughout the round. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful, making for a seamless experience from start to finish. If you're looking to improve your game, be sure to ask for Mike. Miami Lakes Golf Club is a fantastic choice if you want to test your game on perfectly conditioned, tour-quality greens that roll fast and true. The layout is excellent and scenic, weaving through mature trees and water hazards that offer a peaceful escape, though you’ll definitely want to stay focused to navigate the challenge. While the fairways are lush and beautiful, the only minor drawback is the condition of the tee boxes, which can feel a bit shaggy or uneven compared to the rest of the course. It’s an authentic, high-quality golf experience that prioritizes the playability of the greens over fancy resort frills.

No clubhouse, no problem. Despite using temporary structures and a bunch of construction, great experience. The golf course is in amazing shape. Once this place finishes the clubhouse, it will easily be a 5. Pace of play was great. 18 holes in under 4 hours.
