Lone Palm Golf Club is a premier private club in Lakeland, founded in 1964 by Publix Super Markets founder George W. Jenkins, rooted in southern hospitality, family values, and a passion for golf, evolving into a full-service modern club. The 18-hole championship course, originally designed by Dick Wilson and opened in 1965, features a traditional layout with mature trees, lakes, strategic bunkering, rolling fairways, and well-conditioned greens that provide enjoyable yet challenging play. It measures around 6,987–7,090 yards from the back tees as a par 72, offering a balanced test with excellent maintenance and a welcoming atmosphere from arrival. The club has seen renewed vibrancy with updated amenities, including world-class pickleball, curated dining, and engaging social events. Members appreciate the timeless traditions, sense of family/community, and Central Florida convenience for an active, upscale private lifestyle.

I Had the pleasure of being a guest of a member out at Lone Palm GC this weekend and the golf Course is absolutely incredible. Hats off to the Superintendent and the Maintenance team, Absolute 10/10 golf course, some of the best conditions I have ever played. Beautiful layout and a real good challenge on the greens. The hospitality was top notch and The food was also excellent. All of the Facilities were extremely nice. This club is a Really special place!

Great view, excellent service, and the food is super fresh and well prepared! I had a Greek salad with shrimp, pictured here! The dining room is not too noisy and great for conversation!

I wanted to enjoy my experience at the lone palm golf club, but it quickly turned into a political agenda with the “assistant” food beverage manager Jeremy Knoll. Instead of offering assistance, he quoted his political agenda and quietly asked if we supported Trump or Kirk and then proceeded to shove his political views down our throats. We quickly left and have no plans to return. No matter what side of the political playing field you’re on, it shouldn’t become the focus of this establishment and quite honestly it’s an embarrassment to the company to have employees harass customers.
