Honestly, I had no idea where I was going. I got booked to do this show and instead of an address, someone sent me a GPS pin like I was about to infiltrate a secret government facility. I half expected to need a password and retinal scan. Luckily, the gate had high clearance because my 10-foot van barely makes it under most drive-thrus, let alone mystery compounds. Security stops me at the entrance. “Where are you headed?” “No clue,” I said confidently. I briefly considered telling him I was maintenance. That probably would’ve worked. Instead, I said, “I’m a comedian.” He laughed and said, “Good luck finding the room.” Fair. Turns out I was performing on this massive golf course property with one of those high-tech outdoor driving ranges—kind of like Topgolf’s recreational cousin. The bar/restaurant situation? Pricey. Limited drink selection. The tap system was down, which tragically housed my favorite beer. Devastation. I ordered toasted ravioli, though, and that hit. It reminded me of home—upstate New York meets St. Louis energy. Mostly beef inside. I’m not convinced there was cheese. It felt like a bold choice, but I respected it. The staff? Super local, super fun. The night started with a Valentine’s Day married-couples relationship quiz on stage. Watching couples of various ages publicly display affection was both heartwarming and mildly disturbing. And then… I had to follow that. Fortunately, the comedy room itself was perfect. Proper stage. Spotlight. Good layout. The crowd was already loose from the relationship chaos, which is ideal for a comedian. You want them warm. Maybe not emotionally exposed—but warm. My only true enemy of the night? The wireless mic. Wireless mics are like that one friend who says they’ll show up and then ghosts you. Mine cut out several times mid-joke. Nothing kills momentum like delivering a punchline to silence and wondering if it bombed or if technology betrayed you. (It was technology. I think.) Despite the espionage-level directions, questionable beer access, and the mic mutiny, it ended up being a really solid show in a great room. The setup works perfectly for comedy. Would I go back? Yes. Would I bring my own mic? Also yes. 🎤

The Course was in really great shape, the greens were fast, small and really challenging. I love the open Fairways and rough areas. We will definitely be back

This course was designed extremely well and it played absolutely amazingly. Very well maintained and the greens were solid and fast ( very lush and filled in ) . Had a wonderful time playing 5 rounds and would highly recommend it. My only complaint was that my wife ( rider/caddie ) could not ride along with me on this course .

The course was in good shape and the staff were friendly. They were out of range balls and didn't seem ready for the number of golfers they booked. The pace of play was ok, but not great. The range was nice, but the chipping and putting were very small and seemed to be an after thought. The greens were slow though. The price seemed a little on the high side compared to other courses where the greens were much quicker and the practice facility was better. Overall a fun layout though.

I decided to play this course for my last round before I left. And it ended up being the worst experience of the week. The course was okay as far as condition, except the greens were really rough. The staff were extremely rude, which really threw me for a loop. I pulled up with my car at the bag drop, and the guy didn't even come over to the car. I got out, unloaded my own bag, and stuck it on the side. He did put it on a cart for me, but then when I went to pay, the guy in the pro shop was clearly unqualified to work in front of people. It was both unfriendly and unprofessional and the course itself was not worth the price I paid. Also, The play was extremely slow, and they had no rangers on the course. This was an experience I will not have again.
