Description

Havana Country Club is a private club in rural North Florida, featuring a 9-hole course (playable as 18) originally designed by Bill Amick and opened in 1963, with Bermuda fairways and Tifdwarf greens. The par 36 layout (for 9 holes) measures around 3,011 yards with a slope of 127 and rating of 35.2 (higher for 18-hole equivalents), offering a straightforward yet enjoyable test with mature trees, water on select holes, and strategic bunkering suited to local members. It provides consistent maintenance and a peaceful, community-oriented atmosphere away from coastal crowds. Amenities focus on clubhouse dining, social events, and basic practice facilities. Members appreciate the low-key, welcoming vibe and accessible private golf in the Panhandle region.

Beautiful golf course. Ironically I wasnt there to play golf, but to provide protection for a modeling shoot. Oak trees and hills throughout the course. Very pretty. Wish I had my clubs. 9 hole course, btw.

Course is fun but there is a HUGE issue with them letting the old timers do shotgun starts whenever they please. Seems like everytime I'm out there in the middle if my round about 30 older men branch out to every hole to start their round. Is quite annoying. Driving the younger generation off and making us look elsewhere for local memberships.

Really nice course. The set up is challenging and playable. The greens roll out very well. The rolling hills provide the needed elevation change that all good courses have. There is no bar, so it would be BYOB. Havana County Club is a private course.

You can play golf here, and I think that’s pretty great. One can also swim, and that’s handy, but then again you can swim anywhere if you got the guts. Love the wildlife, I’ve seen pigs, and alligators, and a weird stork thingy. The maintenance crew is hands down the best and most friendliest employees I’ve ever met. They should be paid more. Very well maintained, and it remains my favorite golf course. Because it’s cheap, and fun, like my wife.
