Overall, this is a very playable and enjoyable golf course that offers great value for the price. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it approachable for a variety of skill levels, while the large, very well-maintained greens add to the overall quality of the experience. The greens were also quite receptive on approach shots, which was appreciated. The course provides a strong variety of holes throughout the round, with plenty of water hazards and bunkers adding challenge and visual appeal. Two standout holes on the back nine — including the finishing 18th — were especially memorable due to the demanding water carries and risk/reward design. The driving range being entirely over water is a really unique touch and adds to the atmosphere before the round. GPS-equipped carts, included range balls, and the refreshment cart making multiple appearances throughout the day were all positives as well. Staff were fairly friendly and professional — no complaints at all — though the service experience was more solid than exceptional. One thing worth noting is the significant distance between several holes. It makes for a long day on foot, so this is likely a course best suited for carts, whether mandatory or not. The clubhouse is also fairly basic with a somewhat limited selection compared to other facilities. The bunkers were probably the weakest part of the course, as the sand was quite thin and inconsistent in places. Another adjustment took place on the greens: the practice green was noticeably slower than the greens on the course itself, so it did not provide the best representation before teeing off. Reading putts was also deceptively difficult, with many putts appearing flat but breaking more than expected. Overall, this is a fun, challenging, and enjoyable course with strong conditioning, excellent hole variety, and enough memorable features to make it worth playing again.

First off this is a great course. The layout is very very good. I prefer the back 9 over the front 9. And the golf balls are included which is a mandatory 3/5. However staff are not great. No ranger at all patroling the course. It rained for 20 minutes no refund. I heard a lot of angry customers. The pace of play was horrendous. Before and after the rain delay. A real shame I really enjoyed the course but the pace of play ruined the day. I hope the staff do better.

We recently visited this golf course with a group of friends and unfortunately had one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever encountered at a golf facility, almost entirely due to the conduct of the course “pro”, Kevin Ballato. A few members of our group initially were not wearing collared shirts. The issue was never the dress code itself — we fully understand golf courses have standards they uphold. The problem was Kevin’s behavior. Instead of politely informing them of the policy, he immediately began berating and humiliating them in an aggressive and unprofessional manner…all of which happened after the course starter had already cleared our friends to play. What made the interaction even more unnecessary was that two of our friends immediately offered to go put collared shirts on as soon as the issue was raised. Despite that, Kevin continued handling the situation with hostility rather than basic professionalism or courtesy. The worst part came afterward. Kevin explicitly told the members of our group that if they didn’t have a collared shirt to change into, they could receive a refund in exchange for sitting out on the round. Based on that statement, one of our friends chose not to play the round. However, when the round was over and our friend returned to the pro shop to receive the refund Kevin himself had offered, Kevin denied it entirely. He had blatantly lied directly to our group. It was incredibly frustrating and dishonest, especially after one of our friends sat out the entire round based on what he was told. After reading other reviews describing similar interactions, it became difficult to ignore the broader concerns many people have raised regarding potential discriminatory treatment. With the exception of myself, our entire group is Indian, and based on the tone, aggressiveness, and overall handling of the situation, we left feeling deeply uncomfortable and questioning whether bias played a role in how we were treated. To the facility manager’s credit, she did attempt to address the situation afterward and acknowledged that Kevin’s behavior was inappropriate. We appreciated that she handled the complaint professionally, even though the overall experience had already been soured. Unfortunately, the rest of the facility did not make up for it. The course itself was not in particularly good condition considering the price, and even the water in the clubhouse tasted unfiltered and unpleasant — not exactly what you expect in the Florida heat where hydration is essential. Golf courses can enforce rules while still treating guests with respect and honesty. Unfortunately, this experience was defined by hostility, poor professionalism, and dishonesty from the course pro. Until that changes, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Really enjoyed this course! There was a great variety of holes with many long/short par 4s and long/short par 5s. Conditions were excellent and the staff was friendly. I will definitely be playing it again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⛳ ChampionsGate Country Club ChampionsGate Country Club delivers a classic Central Florida golf experience with wide fairways, scenic water features, and well-maintained greens that make for an enjoyable round for all skill levels. The course is thoughtfully laid out, the pace of play is solid, and the staff is welcoming and professional from check-in to the final putt. The clubhouse is a great post-round stop — relaxed vibes, cold drinks, and good food that hits the spot after 18 holes. Whether you’re a local or visiting the area, this is a dependable, enjoyable course that offers great value and a laid-back Florida golf atmosphere. Juicy Take: Clean course, friendly service, and an easygoing golf day done right. 🍊⛳
