The staff at St James golf/resort was outstanding. It was clear that they were a bit understaffed, but they were hustling the whole time so no issues for guests. We had a plumbing issue in our first room and were able to be relocated on a busy weekend within 3 hours. The cleaners did a great job in a hurry to get us another condo, which was greatly appreciated. Also enjoyed the staff at the restaurant on site, all were friendly and the food was very tasty. Prices were good and portions were huge! The golf course is challenging but fun. The greens were in excellent condition. My only suggestion would be to include a trash can in the kitchens of the unit (neither of ours had one). The town has a few places to go, but would probably just stay on property if we return.

My stay at St. James Bay Golf & Pickleball Resort was such a relaxing and peaceful experience. The property feels like a hidden gem tucked away in nature, which makes it the perfect place to unplug for a few days. The villas were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I loved how quiet the entire resort felt. The golf course is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained, and the pickleball courts were a fun addition. Everything on the property is walkable, which makes it easy to enjoy the amenities like the pool, restaurant, and fitness center without ever needing to leave. One of the best parts of the stay was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. Everyone was helpful and made the experience feel personal and laid-back. The on-site restaurant was also surprisingly good and super convenient after a long day of activities. If you’re looking for a low-key Florida getaway with golf, pickleball, and a peaceful atmosphere, this is a great spot. It’s close to St. George Island and Carrabelle, so you can easily explore the beach during the day and come back to a quiet resort in the evening. Would definitely come back!

Weekend golf getaway - Feb 2026 Enjoyed the beautiful golf course and the spacious on site villa. Later received a CC fee of $60 for a pet fee. We Immediately reported to resort manager Sabrina that we do not own a pet and we live in a community that does not permit pets. I also reminded Sabrina that the neighboring villa had a dog that barked constantly and housekeeping most likely mixed up room numbers. Sabrina would not remove the pet fee. Reported to CC dispute the charge . This matter now has tarnished my view & experience of this resort. I understand people make mistakes, however to not amend the error and continue to insist a non pet owner guest pay for a pet fee is ridiculous and bad business. Check your cameras from our stay - no pet was with us. Come to our house, check my shopping history - not a single pet purchase of any kind in 15 years. I explained this to Sabrina and said “I do not know how else to prove that I do not own a pet nor did a bring a pet”. Now I will file my complaint with the appropriate consumer reporting agencies. I wonder how many other guests have been charged a bogus pet fee charge? I expect a refund and an apology for wasting my time regarding this fraudulent charge. Follow up: no refund or apology and I find it interesting that the owner only replied to positive reviews.

Staff was exceptionally friendly and informative. Coach and rest of staff made us very comfortable! Now about the room. It was roomy, clean and attractive. However, couch and chairs were extremely uncomfortable. Not enough coffee/ tea supplies for duration of stay. Also, taking or trash bags to dumpster at end of stay was totally inappropriate. The golf course was challenging and in good shape! Over all we enjoyed our stay despite some minor inconveniences.

Nice resort to stay at and very reasonable for stay and play! My husband loves to golf and he got in as many rounds as he could in the 2 days and golf 1 more before we left! We stayed in a villa as we travel with our pet and loved it. Everything was as it should be so no service really was required. St. James Bay is in an area by itself, we did spend time on St. George Island as well which was also enjoyable. I enjoy shops and Carrebelle is an older small town and off season things seemed to be closed. Side note I did take a road trip to Panama City Beach it's a bit of a drive but passed some time while my husband enjoyed his rounds of golf! If you are coming we are group of golfers you will love the stay and play package and will find a great value
