Suggest you don’t pay any attention to the few negative reviews. Really impressed with the warm, welcoming and attentive attitude shared by every single staff member, from the host in the pro shop and the guys at the starter area, to the cart girl and the lovely woman in the kiosk at halfway. Course was well-maintained (greens were consistent and uniform) and the wildlife was well-behaved. A pleasure to play and would very highly recommend (But watch for the gators!)

Reasonable price for the area and time of year. Course is maintained well. Layout is challenging with water on every hole. GPS on carts. Drink cart service. Food available at the turn. Enjoyed a few beers and food afterwards on the back patio overlooking the course. Aqua driving range hitting off matts and no drivers allowed. Lots of wildlife including many gators in the ponds and birds everything from crows to eagles.

Course was in good shape, well maintained. Staff was great very courteous and helpful getting you out on time. My only pretty big negative was we were on schedule to have over a 6 hour round. Our tee time was Saturday at 11:30 so expected a 4 1/2 plus round but turned into a painful experience and quit after 15 holes. We saw a ranger several times but apparently not involved with speeding up play. As we skipped the last 3 holes we ended up passing a group with 5 golfers that had 2 holes empty ahead of them. Not sure I will go back.

I can't say anything about the facilities but what I can speak to is there lack of any empathy for cars on Upper Manatee River Rd that are hit by golf balls. My car was hit sitting in traffic so I thought the appropriate thing to do would be to call the clubhouse or pro shop. They honestly could not have cared less. Told me about how they are not responsible and Florida is a no fault state. They advised me that it is between me and the golfer and they said I should pull over and go onto the course to get a cart #. What I was expecting is that they would send out a ranger to see who was teeing off on the hole along the road. Or at least try and narrow it down to me. The fact that there solution is for me to confront the golfer directly blows my mind. I had my 4 year old in the car so the chances of me pulling over and walking into a golf course are exactly zero. I don't know maybe I'm completely off base here but I feel like this situation could have been handled a little better or they should have a process in place for this exact situation. I mean they have a hole with no net along a very busy road. I can't be the first to call and ask. I now have a dent right on my hood directly in my line of vision that will remind me every time I drive of how they could have handled this situation with a little more grace. A hey we're sorry would have gone a long way. Even though the club isn't directly responsible they are in a much better position to handle this situation with there customers than I am as a driver on the road.
