This “municipal course” is absolutely awesome. To play golf with the Washington monument among other historical buildings in your backdrop on several holes is enough to make this an amazing round. BUT the greens are extremely well maintained, the course is not very challenging but fun still, and being smack in the middle of the Potomac makes this an absolutely beautiful round. Oh yeah, and you cannot beat the price. It’s also a very short cab ride from downtown. I took an e bike with my bag on my back on the trip home to the hotel at H and 11th. Designated bike path on 15th makes it a safe and a super fun ride home. Bring your clubs when you travel to DC and play here. It’s worth it.

Nice short course close to DC and not too expensive. We enjoyed nine holes early morning before it got too hot. The course was not that well groomed, but with no crowds and low price it was satisfying. While it said the clubhouse was closed, the bathrooms were open and clean. There is a big pile of dirt, supposedly form the new White House ballroom, on the far end of the course, but we didn't get close to it.

Perfect outing for one fine afternoon tee off. Close to town, breeze as it's on island. As a golf beginner, I like this place

Played the blue course on 2 April 2026. The course has several areas to practice short game with a double decker full size golf range with trackman. It seems to be turf only. As for the course, I was hoping for better conditions. Tee boxes fuzzy and hadn't been cut for days, fairways cut but patchy, and the greens had sand all over them. I don't knock the course for punching the greens, but there was no warning that the greens had been punched recently. I didn't get any bunker shots in but they seem to be in good shape, not sure if they had enough sand in them though. The course is very flat and a good course to walk without straining. It is pretty basic as far as the layout with most holes just being a straight shot. Not bad for the price but I expected better conditions. Might I add, the customer service was not that great. Only recommend if you have nowhere else to play.

I was able to get out in the morning on the White course. Economical area to play with views of the Washington Monument. Big pile of dirt from the East Wing of the White House too! Friendly staff. The course was in okay shape--it gets a lot of use. Worth playing if you've already hit most of the historic sites and like golf.
