Wampanoag is a private club in West Hartford known for a strong local membership culture and a traditional golf experience. The course plays like classic parkland golf, rewarding golfers who keep it in play and approach greens from good angles. It can feel deceptively demanding when greens are quick, because distance control and leaving the ball below the hole matter a lot. The club also tends to have a lively season with leagues and member events that keep play active. Overall, Wampanoag is established private-club golf with a solid, strategic course at its center.

A lovely dining experience for my granddaughters bat mitzvah. The delicious appetizers were chicken skewers and the short rib main dish was exceptional. The service was exceptional and the room was just right fir these young girls

We have been members of Wampanoag since 1990. The Donald Ross course had a beautiful renovation by architects Tyler Rae, Klye Franz and golf historian Bradley Klein. A fire destroyed the clubhouse 4/2024, but now we have reopened a gorgeous clubhouse with great food and tremendous amenities to come.

What a beautiful place. We only visited the banquet room area but it was beautiful. Very welcoming and there were 2 sets of restrooms available. Full patio bar and inside bar. There is a restaurant area that is attached that looks very comfortable. I would highly recommend!

I recently photographed a wedding at Wampanoag Country Club and it was absolutely stunning! Amanda and the events team were so great to work with and on top of things. They made sure that we were hydrated and cared for, and were on top of the timeline which were all so appreciated. I highly recommend this venue!
