I had a great time learning from the coaches there. Went on the driving range, course, and the chipping green. The coaches were great and they were willing to help me fix some problems with my swing. The course is well maintained and well designed. A great golf course, even though I suck at golf.

I play golf here 3-4 times a week. It’s an incredible public course that’s really well maintained. My favorite time of year to play at Sterling farms is in October. The foliage and views are priceless. I really appreciate that the grounds crew clears the leaves and keeps the course in pristine shape even into late November. The staff are great. Helen who runs the pro shop is a delight, and Carl one of the starters is always a pleasure to chat with. I do wish they had a monthly membership to the range for regulars like myself. I purchase a large bucket $16 4/5 times a week which adds up. However the greens fees for residents is the best deal I’ve ever come across. You can’t go wrong choosing to play at Sterling. It truly is a wonderful experience for any golfer.

Brought my sons to the range today to hit some balls. They both have their own clubs, can safely hit the ball, and we’ve practiced here multiple times before without any issue. The range was extremely crowded and disorganized today, with no real system for waiting or rotating into bays. After finally waiting and getting a spot, an older employee came out halfway through our bucket and rudely told us that we had to relocate. What made this especially frustrating is: * there is a large sign stating kids 13 and under ARE allowed with an adult, * I was actively supervising both kids the entire time, * and we’ve used that exact same area before without ever being told otherwise. Instead of helping us relocate or organize a wait list, we were basically sent away and left to wait another 45 minutes in the sun on an extremely muggy day. Golf courses always talk about wanting to grow the game and encourage kids to play, but this was the exact opposite experience. Inconsistent rules and poor customer service completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun afternoon with my kids. What’s especially disappointing is that my law firm had actually been considering hosting an event here. After seeing how disorganized the range operation was and how rudely customers were treated, we’ll definitely be taking that business elsewhere. If a facility can’t smoothly manage something as basic as a driving range on a busy day, it’s hard to feel confident trusting them with a larger event.

A great public course, beautiful layout and some challenging holes! Definitely recommend playing a round!
