Description
Cedar Knob is an 18-hole public course in Somers that’s designed to be challenging while still welcoming to a broad range of golfers. The layout uses a classic combination of trees, elevation movement, and hazard placement (including water and sand) to create holes where strategy matters. From the back tees it stretches into a true par-72 test, but multiple teeing options allow it to play comfortably for mid- and higher-handicap players as well. Cedar Knob also tends to feel pleasantly removed once you’re out on the course—more “golf in the woods” than “golf next to traffic.” If you’re looking for a straightforward summary: Cedar Knob is a solid, full-length public course with real variety, a traditional Connecticut feel, and enough teeth to reward smart decision-making.
