Hop Meadow in Simsbury is a private, family-oriented club with an 18-hole course that’s designed to be both enjoyable and strategically engaging for repeat member play. The layout is classic parkland golf, with holes that reward positioning and thoughtful approach angles into greens rather than brute length. It’s common for clubs like this to have a strong league culture, and Hop Meadow fits that profile—active play, member events, and a “home course” feel that keeps the property buzzing in season. The course typically features a mix of scoring opportunities and tougher stretches where par feels like a win, which makes it fun for a wide range of handicaps. Overall, it’s a polished, community-first private club with golf as a central anchor and a strong local identity.

I played in a golf tournament today and what a beautiful course this is! Long yardage, great views, and fun greens. Really just a treasure to play and looking forward to the next time!

Beautiful! Was there for a high school reunion. Food was excellent! We had pretty much a run of the whole place. There was an bar on the deck, a fire pit, just a really y nice place and a great time with old friends. Would highly recommend for a event of any kind.
