Old Lyme Country Club is a private shoreline-area club with a traditional Connecticut feel and a course designed for enjoyable repeat member play. The layout emphasizes accuracy and smart positioning, and it often plays with subtle coastal influence—breezes, seasonal firmness, and green conditions can change the challenge significantly. The club atmosphere tends to be relaxed and community-driven, with member events and leagues that keep the season active. The course itself generally rewards a steady tee-to-green approach rather than pure power, making it a good fit for golfers who like strategy and touch. Overall, it’s classic private-club golf in a scenic coastal town, built around tradition and a strong member culture.
