Lake Waramaug Country Club in New Preston is a private club with a classic, intimate feel and a scenic setting near one of the Northwest Corner’s most iconic lakes. The golf course is traditional and strategic, emphasizing accuracy, clean iron play, and smart positioning over modern power. It’s a place where the environment shapes the round—tree lines, subtle elevation changes, and a calm, tucked-away atmosphere make it feel quietly special. The club culture tends to be understated and member-centric, often with a strong seasonal rhythm that matches lake-area life. Overall, it’s a charming, classic Connecticut private club experience—smaller in scale but rich in character.

Private Country Club. 9 holes a good challenge for all the clubs, and shots you have. Short, but you'll work for your pars. In grt onion compared to other local courses.

Beautiful Lake, extremely busy during regatta times. If you arrive there when it's going to rain or it has rained the day before make sure you wear boots the ground can get real muddy!
