I played Blackledge CC a number of years ago while on a vacation throughout New England. The course was in great shape and it was a fun round for my final day of vacation (#10), and my 12th round.

I’ve been playing at Anderson Glen and Gilead for years. Every time I visit, I feel like this course is so close to being a five-star experience. However, if you are looking for the total public golf package, this is the place to go. The new range is gorgeous, the restaurant offers great value, and the staff is consistently friendly. Blackledge falls short when it comes to course conditions. When I played earlier this week, the greens were extremely slow, and the rough was largely patchy clover with white clover flower everywhere. Given the clear success and revenue generated by the range and restaurant, I really hope they continue to reinvest those funds back into the course maintenance. It has so much potential to be a premier destination.

This place checks all the boxes. There's something cool about courses with a full 36 holes. We played Anderson Glen this time. The staff is pleasant. The beverage cart showed up around hole 5 and the hot dog on the turn was one of the better ones. The weather wasn't great but the place seemed pretty booked. A group of young guys offered to let us play through on 10 but we declined having a moment to enjoy the hot dog. Typical New England weather, turning from rain / overcast to sunny and warmer so I was happy to find water available in a lot of places. Walking this place did not seem difficult at all. I look forward to returning.

The greens are struggling more than usual following aeration. Anderson, punched more than a week and a half ago, has not yet returned to a condition that supports consistent play. Both courses are punched now but hopefully the rain in the forecast can help them recover soon.

Great courses, pace of play is usually great- they space tee times out by 10 mins which is fantastic for a public course. Courses both in great shape.
