East Hartford Golf Club is a public 18-hole facility that’s built to be a reliable, everyday option for the greater Hartford area. The layout is generally friendly from the tee with room to play, but it tightens up in spots and rewards golfers who keep the ball in the correct sections of the fairway. It’s popular for leagues and repeat play, which speaks to a course that’s enjoyable without being overly punishing. Conditions and setup often determine difficulty; when greens are quick, it can become a sneaky test because approaches need the right distance and spin control. Overall, it’s the kind of course local golfers can treat as a “regular stop” for a consistent, full-length round.

Visited this course with friends to celebrate a friends passing. Greay looking course and a wonderful restaurant for a quick bite and drinks.

I haven't been here in 20 years and from what I remember as a novice player back then was that the course left something to be desired. I was expecting the same dull experience but to my surprise we had a great time. There was a couple times on the front that had us wait for a few moments. The back got a little more bogged down on 12-16. Nothing a few more practice putts couldn't fix. The new pizza place is pretty clutch for a pie to bring home. Will return.

Nice course to play, the back nine a bit more challenging. Guy in Pro shop was very nice. I would go back sometime in the future

Let me start off by saying that the drainage issues look like they are being addressed. And that’s a very good thing. The course was very wet and that was to be expected in mid March. The issues I do have, are with how bad the fairways are. Tons of just dirt spots and what I will describe as mole trails. Basically just not level and smooth. Greens were in very good shape. Charging full summer greens fees this early won’t get you repeat business

I'm sure you would like to take this review offline but I want to inform the public how it feels to be treated there. I walked in and calmly waited for 15 minutes to get waited on. I finally went to the bar to pay $18 plus tip for 2 cans of Sea Hag. Pizza is pretty good if you order a whole pie. Slices very skimpy....just my opinion
