The Country Club of Darien is a premier private club with a classic Fairfield County identity and a very golf-centric culture. The course is routed to reward disciplined tee shots and thoughtful approach angles, with greens that can be demanding depending on setup. It feels traditional in the best way—an emphasis on etiquette, conditioning, and a strong member community. The layout tends to reveal more nuance the more you play it, especially in how it asks you to manage risk around trouble. Overall, it’s top-tier private-club golf with a refined atmosphere and a course designed for precision.

Great place. Wonderful grounds with a beautiful little creek running right through. And they even do fun hayrides every fall.

I recently visited The Country Club of Darien, and it was fantastic! As a New Yorker, I was thrilled to learn they use New York WaterMaker's system, replicating NYC's iconic water. Their freshly baked bread immediately reminded me of home—simply delicious. The golf course is pristine, and the staff is incredibly friendly, making the whole experience top-notch. If you’re looking for a touch of New York in Connecticut with great amenities, this place is a must-visit!

My company hosted our gala here and it was wonderful! We had lots of cooks in the kitchen and Erica and her events team handled everything beautifully. It is a beautiful venue with great food and drinks!

Inspirational Landscape! Too bad the Paintings are in the UK. Commissions come only if you pay travel board and art materials. Dinner dates are welcomed and often advised so I can get a feel for you before I paint for you. Thanks for the new memories!
