Clinton Country Club is a private club on the shoreline side of Connecticut, known for a friendly membership environment and a course that plays with coastal character. The layout is a traditional 18-hole parkland course where accuracy and positioning matter, especially when breezes pick up or the turf firms out in summer. It’s a club that often feels community-driven—events, leagues, and member play are central to the identity rather than a “destination” vibe. The routing typically offers a good blend of scoring chances and holes where par is earned, which keeps rounds engaging for a range of handicaps. If you’re describing it in one sentence: it’s classic private-club golf with a relaxed shoreline feel and a course designed for repeat play.

Excellent course, extremely well kept. Great restaurant and practice facility as well. Course is very secluded, no houses or roads lining it, beautiful peaceful rounds and an excellent course design.

Some of the best food and service on the shoreline. Try the CCC salad, magnificent!

I played a charity tournament here this past early fall. Having driven by this beautiful private course many times, I always wanted to play it, and participating in this charity event gave me the opportunity. It’s a fabulous course: immaculate, very well kept, and a challenging layout. They call it a gem, and I certainly would agree with that description. If you have the chance to play a round, don’t pass it up.

My husband's high school reunion was held at the Clinton Country Club tonight, and it was lovely. The buffet food was delicious, as were the appetizers, and the service was right-on! The decor superb and very classy. All in all a very nice eveniny
