Chippanee is a municipal 18-hole course in Bristol that has long been one of the area’s go-to public options for a full-length, traditional round. The layout is built to be fair—wide enough to keep newer golfers moving—but it still asks for smart decisions around hazards and greens. It’s a busy course with strong league and outing activity, so it has that lively muni energy where you’ll see everyone from beginners to strong players on any given day. The variety across holes keeps it from feeling repetitive, and the course typically rewards solid ball-striking more than tricks or gimmicks. For golfers looking for a dependable public 18 in central Connecticut, Chippanee is a staple.

Amazing place! I love being a member there! The food is good and the course always brings me a challenge. Hole 6 is my favorite in my opinion.

We love Chippanee! Staff does a great job and remembers the members! Golf course is a great course in CT. The pool in summer is laid back and great for families. The food is also very good!! Staff creates new items all the time.

We have been members at Chippanee for years, and we love every golf season as it begins! This is a beautifully maintained course. We are lucky enough to have the best of the best in golf pros, and Gary Sassu, who heads up the junior golf program and does an amazing job with the kids. General Manager Juan Rodriguez and his staff are top notch and make us feel like family.

This venue is gorgeous! We recently did a Bloom Bar/Flower Bar for a Bride to Be and her guests here. We can't say enough about the helpful staff or the absolute stunning room the shower was held in! We can't wait to do more events here!
