Great course. The greens are very difficult but fun. I can't wait to see how it all is eventually developed. The food at the restaurant was delicious and that's coming from a foody. I had the brisket Patty melt. Staff was very friendly and positive. My only negative was how far apart the driving range was to the putting green. They did have Free range balls which is nice when you pay that much.

Pace of play here is crazy. 5 hours to play 18 holes is unacceptable no matter how long or difficult. No marshals to be seen. No trash cans either which is weird. Nice course and in good shape. $160 green fees for this place is bonkers. $80-$85 would be acceptable. Too many blind shots not a tree in sight for a small respite from the sun or wind.

Let me lead off by saying that this course is absolutely beautiful and very challenging. I also understand the pace of play on weekends is going to be slower than anticipated and this course is LONG. After a three hour And 15 minute front nine we came in at 5:15 pm to Grab a quick bite and make the turn. The course typically provides hot and ready food and offers a good selection as well. However, at dinner time, with the Course running slow, they had zero options. All the water containers were empty. When we hit the bathrooms on the back, they were locked. A course of this caliber should be providing a way better experience outside of the Golf. It just felt like they were ready to close while they were backed up, and had hours left of paid players out on the course. The lack of situational awareness to not provide quick hot food that is normally available, at dinner time when the course is already backed up, astounds me.

Update: played again on president's day 2026. No cart restrictions (thank goodness) despite the website saying it was walking only. The course was in great shape. Friendly staff. Great food and beverage options. It's only 4 stars because I feel the value in winter is still not there to charge nearly full price compared to other local courses. But this is still definitely a great special occasion round. My advice would be to play once the grass isn't dormant. Played on 5/8/25, right after it rained for two days. The front 9 was still pretty swampy so, it was cart path only. The back 9 drained very well and was in perfect condition. I played as a single and finished 18 in 3.5 hrs. It is uniquely challenging. I could see this being a very slow round if the course is busy. This is an extremely unique golf course and does require accurate shots and distance control because there is not much rough. Most holes have steep dropoffs where you wouldn't want to attempt to find your ball. There are several blind shots as well so course management is essential. In my opinion, this makes it very fun to play because most courses on the front range are relatively flat and wide open. The staff are friendly, their food and drink options are great and are reasonably priced. The views and the way the course was built into the landscape are fantastic. The greens are true and comparable to the other nicer courses around. The bunkers are fair in placement and were maintained well for Colorado standards. The fairways were very firm and fast, even on the front which didn't drain as well. When the course is cart path only, it is extremely confusing where to go because holes can share paths and the paths don't always show on the GPS. #9 shares it's green with a practice green which isn't a big deal, but be careful on your approach not to go too long.

While I have never golfed here, I did have the pleasure of spending a day on this course photographing the Barstool Classic golf tournament. This course is beautiful and well maintained. There is an amazing view of the mountains and the clubhouse area is super cool with a bunch of old buildings and cars. Great vibes and if I was a golfer, I'd want to play here!
