Really not a great experience. We were told our 6:20 AM tee time would overlap with a tournament starting at 7:00 AM. This was mentioned at check-in with no advanced notice or discount offered, despite having booked over the phone. We were all walking, since it is only 9 holes. We were instructed to return to the clubhouse after #6 and “wait for the tournament to start.” An insane request when trying to get 9 holes in first thing in the morning and walking. The overlapping tournament started late by about 30 minutes, so our delay was even greater. If anyone from Hyland Hills reads this, I would recommend offering discounted tee times or do not offer them at all if you’re asking players to come take a break in the clubhouse for 40 minutes mid-round. This was my first time here, there’s plenty to say about the course conditions, but not sure I’ll come again based off the poor planning and treatment of our group.

I’ve golfed here 20-30 times a year for the past 3 years. In those 3 years I’ve missed one tee time. Due to a family emergency and they charged me over 200$ for missing. And said there was absolutely nothing they could do. Absolutely no remorse for a valued customer. From now on I will take my friends and my self to a different golf course.

Hyland Hills Golf Course is a great public golf destination with something for everyone. The championship Gold Course is well-maintained and challenging, with water hazards, mature trees, and rolling fairways that make every hole interesting. With multiple course options, a solid driving range, and friendly staff, it’s perfect for both serious golfers and casual players. Excellent value, great conditions, and a fun overall experience.

Beautiful course and very green despite current water restrictions. Also great view.

Showed up to play at 6am and was told we would only get to play 6 holes because there was a tournament starting at 7 and we couldn’t be out at the same time as them. I booked this tee time over the phone and was never made aware of this situation. This is absolutely unacceptable and genuinely insane that they would even allow someone to book a tee time under those circumstances. 2 weeks ago, we showed up at 4 to play and was told we would have to wait 30 minutes to tee off because there was, YOU GUESSED IT, another tournament! We were stuck behind a group of 8 kids and 8 parents taking their kids out. It took 3 hours to play 8 holes, we ran out of time and had to call it. Every single time I bring a new friend to this course I end up having to apologize because there is some fatal flaw with our day. Today was the last day I set foot on property. I’m lucky if I get one opportunity to golf a week and 2 times this month Hyland Hills has turned what was supposed to be a fun day to a day of frustration.
