We went to this Golf Course last night for a get together for someone running for a seat in Colorado. These guys..the cook and the only young man that was wait staff, did an EXCELLENT job of taking care of A LOT of people with drinks and food! The food was great and the waiter was very efficient. They did a good job making us feel welcome. The gold course view was beautiful looking out the windows!

I played Walking Stick in Pueblo, Colorado, on April 6th at 10:00am and walked the course for $45, which felt like a solid value for the overall experience. The standout aspects were definitely the pace of play and the staff—both were excellent. The round moved smoothly without delays, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. Course conditions were a bit mixed. Tee boxes and fairways were average at best, both coming in around a “C.” That said, I admittedly didn’t spend as much time in the fairways as I would’ve liked. On the other hand, the greens were in great shape—rolling true and well-maintained, easily the highlight of the course conditions. The layout is solid, earning a “B.” It’s a fair design with some variety, though not overly memorable. Walkability is decent but not perfect—there are a few longer walks between greens and tees that add up over the round. I didn’t find myself in any bunkers, so no comment there. Practice facilities were okay overall. The range was mats-only the day I played, but the mats were in very good condition. The chipping area is pretty small, though the two practice greens were both in excellent shape. One nice touch: there’s plenty of water available throughout the course to refill your bottle, which is always appreciated. I didn’t visit the bar after the round, so I can’t comment on that aspect of the experience. Overall, Walking Stick delivers a good experience, especially if you value pace of play and quality greens. With some improvements to tee boxes and fairways, it could easily be a top-tier public track.

Had a great time golfing 18 holes at Walking Stick Golf Coarse on Sunday. We had a twosome, and we're able to tee off 15 minutes earlier than our tee time, and play was smooth throughout the whole 18 holes. The coarse was in great condition, and well watered and groomed and the greens were in really good shape as well. Definitely a 10 out of 10 5 star review from me and will definitely play Walking Stick Golf Coarse again for sure.

Played there on May 4th recently. Course was in good shape, nice layout, and a great price when considering courses in the Denver area. It can be a long walk between some holes, so walkers beware if a typical 18 wears you out. Only giving three stars though. About 10-15 minutes before my scheduled tee time of 9:40 am, the starter shack allowed the morning men's league to all go off at once. The first tee box was jammed with 10-12 carts and we had to sit there and watch each foursome go off. That delayed us to 9:50 am which any reasonably run course should not be causing delays that early in the morning on a weekday (Monday). Slight credit to the men's league is most of them did tee off at a brisk pace for each foursome, but the last group was a fivesome and by the time all of the men's league was out on the course the pace became slower. It also resulted in groups behind us pushing us to be quicker. Playing through was not an option as it was the whole men's league out in front of us. Kind of a boondoggle. To exacerbate my experience, I got to the course about 90 minutes early and asked if any openings existed to move up. The clubhouse said it was packed and yet I witnessed a few smaller groups making the turn while I hit a bucket of balls and waited for my tee time. In the end, it was frustrating enough that I bagged it after 9 holes instead of playing the slow pace for the whole 18 holes. Didn't even bother asking for a refund as Walking Stick won't be on my list of courses to play in the future next time I am down in southern Colorado.
