Extremely Disappointing Experience My round at Green Tree Golf Course today was one of the worst golfing experiences I've had. The course conditions and overall environment were very concerning. On Hole 12, there was a dead cat near the fairway, and several stray dogs were gathered around the green. Throughout the course, there were homeless individuals walking on the fairways, along with a significant amount of trash and debris. In addition, a group of spectators sitting in lawn chairs near Hole 9 approached me about where my cart was parked (which was parked on a hill). After I moved it, they proceeded to mock me for leaving a putt short, which created an unwelcoming atmosphere. The only positive aspect of the visit was Gary in the clubhouse, who was professional but still didn’t seem he cared about actual paying customers. Based on my experience, the course appears poorly maintained and lacking adequate oversight. I cannot recommend Green Tree Golf Course and would suggest golfers consider other local options, such as Ashwood Golf Course.

My husband and I just finished playing our first round of golf at the Green Tree Golf course in Victorville, and we are really impressed. I do have to warn prospective players that there is no driving range. I always like to warm.up a little bit, but since we are usually running a bit late, I am getting used to warming up on the first 3 to 4 holes. Soooo, this is NOT a deal breaker for us. The prices are very reasonable, and we were surprised at how well maintained the course was, especially considering it is in the desert. The last time I played on a desert course (in Nevada) I had to keep putting my ball on random patches of grass instead of the "rough", which was the actual desert! I pay too much for my equipment to risk damaging it on hard ground and rocks! The bunkers were somewhat wet and the sand was a bit hard, but that has been a problem at many courses we have been to lately. I have heard the price of the bunker sand has increased drastically, and that could be the reason many sand traps have turned into hardened pits. Whatever the reason, if the surface is going to damage my expensive clubs, my ball will magically jump out of "it's own accord" until circumstances improve. Overall, the greens were good. A couple of them had some brown spots which gave the path of the ball some interesting detours, but overall, they were fun to play. The pro shop is surprisingly well stocked, with a decent selection of women's clothing that I don't see in a lot of golf course shops, even at larger courses. I was pleasantly surprised to see the women's tees are placed much farther into the fairway than most golf courses. As a woman, it made my round much more enjoyable. I was about to par a couple of holes, and boggie quite a few. The way most courses are set up, most women don't have a chance to par 17 out of 18 holes! The pace of play moves much faster as well. For the price, it was a very enjoyable experience. We will be playing this course regularly from now on. Its not a country club, but that's just fine with us.

I’m always looking for a golf course that’s fun and interesting, and Green Tree Golf Club definitely delivered. Each hole offered enough variety to keep things engaging from start to finish. I was pleasantly surprised by how many trees there are—especially for a high desert course. They provide great shade along the fairways… unless you’re striping it straight down the middle, in which case you’re on your own in the sun (no sympathy here!). Playing in early April, the day started off cool but warmed up quickly—pretty ideal conditions overall. The staff really stood out as well. Gary took the time to walk me through the course map and point out key features (including restroom locations along the course) when I mentioned I was worried about getting lost, and Brandie was incredibly friendly when I checked out after my round. I wrapped up the day with a personal pepperoni pizza and a Gatorade in the clubhouse, which was the perfect way to end things. Overall, this was a great experience, and I’m already looking forward to my next round here.

We’ve always had good experiences at Green Tree until this last weekend when they overpacked the Tee Sheet & didn’t disclose the busy day it was when taking our $51 on a Sunday afternoon. A simple “it’s a packed day” would’ve been great cause we wouldn’t have wasted our money. General Manager refused to refund us due to “the upper management being upset” if they process refunds. Pro shop office phone’s didn’t work, tried calling 3x but office wasn’t answering. After showing them my call log, GM blamed the new library causing the issues, of-course. Course is in poor conditions & they allow people just to jump on whenever they feel like. High school kid’s walking whatever holes they want & guys playing 3 balls each since they can’t seem to hit a ball right. No Marshall driving around either to fix these issues. $51 for 4 holes from 12pm-2pm. Great experience! Never coming back here. What a shame it’s gone to. Especially with the new renovation’s.

I consider green tree golf course as my home course. Very centralized location, only takes a 10-15 minute drive from anywhere in the Victorville area. Well maintained fairways and greens, bunkers are dirt, so hit it straight. Fun, laid back, vibe with a fairly quick pace of play. Staff in the pro shop are always very helpful and friendly. No driving range yet, but there are two practice greens that are good to get some reps in before you're round.
