Tracy Golf and Country Club offers a pleasant round of golf with its well-maintained fairways and scenic surroundings. The layout provides a good balance of challenge and playability, catering to various skill levels. While the greens are generally smooth, a few bunkers could use some attention. The clubhouse is welcoming, and staff are friendly, making it an enjoyable spot for both casual and seasoned golfers. A solid choice for a relaxed day on the course.

The Tracy Golf and Country Club is an interesting item. Some of the engineering and landscape design shows a once very cool country club. There are a few tee boxes secluded by shrubs, a few nice staircases to elevated tees, and water hazards with nice looking brick surroundings. Then, there are areas of the fairways and tee boxes where a lack of maintenance is obvious. It appears that this club once was a very elite location, but for unknown reasons membership fell and maintenance suffered. Overall, the greens were smooth and fast, the bunkers were raked and in good condition. However, the fairways and tee boxes could use some maintenance. The staff were polite and friendly. the chef/waitress was fantastic. Staff mentioned that this time of year (Q1) they aerate and seed the course. However, looking at the numerous patches of dirt/dead grass, it would seem a little more landscape maintenance would do the trick. The course sits on both sides of I580, so be careful not to snap hook a shot on a few holes as you may hit a car. After our round, we went to the restaurant and ordered lunch and coffee. The meal was very tasty and reasonably priced. The cook/waitress was terrific. Overall, the Tracy Golf and Country Club is worth a visit. It would be nice to give it a second round before summer to see if the fairways and tee boxes improve.

I’ve really enjoyed my experience at Tracy Golf & Country Club. The driving range is nice, and the course itself provides a good challenge. The greens are incredibly fast and very well maintained. There are some dry spots around the course, as it’s considered a desert-style course, but honestly that only makes me more impressed with the level of maintenance. Given the conditions, they’ve done an excellent job keeping the course in great shape. The pro shop and restaurant are older, but I actually see that as part of the club’s charm. It has a character that reminds me of simpler times. The pro shop frequently runs sales, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable compared to many other golf shops I’ve visited. What ultimately sold me and led me to become a member was the atmosphere and the people—especially the employees. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming. You quickly realize that Tracy still has that small-town feel. As someone who grew up in a small town in Virginia, that sense of community was a huge plus for me. Another thing I appreciate is that they offer a variety of membership packages to fit different budgets and schedules, so you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on initiation fees to be part of the club. The cart paths could use some improvement, but this is an older course, and it’s clear they’re constantly investing in upgrades and working to make the facility better. Overall, it’s the combination of a challenging course, well-maintained greens, affordable membership options, and genuinely friendly people that makes Tracy Golf & Country Club an easy recommendation.

We played early in the morning behind members and the pace was perfect. The fairways were nice and the ball sat up. The greens are receptive and have a nice speed - one must definitely pay attention to the breaks of the greens. The young staff are courteous and helpful, and Speers, the grill, has amazing food. We play here once a week because of Tracy CC’s good vibes!!!

Tracy Golf Club Review I still had an enjoyable experience overall at Tracy Golf Club, but there are definitely some areas that feel outdated. The pro shop and restaurant look old inside and could really benefit from some updates to freshen up the space. The course itself has a mix of updates, but there are also a lot of dirt patches that stand out. The golf cart paths were very uneven and cracked in several areas, which made for some pretty bumpy rides throughout the round. The golf cart itself also felt a bit odd compared to others I’ve used. That said, the highlight of this course is truly the people. Everyone was friendly, and I had the chance to talk with an owner/partner who was genuinely nice and welcoming. That personal interaction made a big difference in the experience. If you’re going on a golf course tour, I’d place Tracy Golf Club in the mid-tier range—worth visiting if you’re nearby, but not necessarily a destination course. The friendly atmosphere helps balance out the areas that need improvement.
