Only two courses were available during my visit. The US Open Course was generous and forgiving, making for a relaxed round. In contrast, the Western Course offered a more challenging layout with beautiful scenic views. Navigating the cart paths was a bit steep and tricky, but still manageable. Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to playing again.

As someone who has experienced high-end clubs and premium hospitality, Mulholland Hills Country Club was honestly one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had. The food is severely overrated. Most of it tastes reheated, pre-packaged, or straight out of a can, yet it’s presented and priced like luxury dining. Very little feels fresh or actually made in-house. For what they charge, the quality is extremely disappointing. The landscaping and overall property conditions are just as bad. For a club that markets itself as exclusive, the grounds look poorly maintained. Brown patches of grass, inconsistent upkeep, and very little attention to detail. I’ve seen smaller clubs with fewer employees maintain far better conditions. If you think I’m exaggerating, simply walk around the property and pay attention to the details. You’ll notice random trash in areas where it shouldn’t be, along with clear signs of neglect. That alone says a lot about the level of care and standards here. Management is where things really fall apart. There seems to be a major lack of leadership, accountability, and professionalism. Employees often appear unmotivated, service feels inconsistent, and the overall culture comes across as lazy and disorganized. Instead of operating like a premium club, it feels like standards have slipped across the board. Overall, this club feels overpriced, poorly managed, and nowhere near the level it claims to be. There are much better clubs out there that actually deliver quality, professionalism, and value. I would absolutely take my money elsewhere.

My experience at Mulholland Hills Country Club was extremely disappointing. First, the food quality is nowhere near what you would expect from a country club. A lot of the snack bar items and meals feel like reheated, pre-packaged, or canned food being served as if it’s fine dining. Very little tastes fresh or handmade. Honestly, I could go to Ralphs, buy the same ingredients, and make something better at home for a fraction of the price. The landscaping and course conditions are also poor. For a club with this many employees, I expected much better upkeep. Large areas of grass look dry or brown, and overall the property does not feel well maintained. I’ve seen smaller clubs with fewer employees keep their grounds in far better shape. Management was probably the worst part. The environment feels unprofessional and power-driven. I remember attending an Easter event with my kids, and hearing staff publicly announce that if people didn’t listen, they would be banned from the club. That kind of attitude completely ruined the atmosphere and made what should have been a family-friendly event feel uncomfortable. Overall, this place feels overpriced, poorly managed, and nowhere near the standard it presents itself to be. I would strongly recommend taking your money elsewhere.

Had a great experience touring this place and would highly recommend for anyone looking for excellent golf and tennis facilities along with really good service. Strongly considering joining when I relocate to LA. The staff clearly care and made the visit extra enjoyable.
