Nice muni track. Good greens . . . Except the crowd needs to fix their ball marks. The military aircraft and private jets are cool to see land or at least fly over the course.

Firstly, the gentleman at the front desk was quite rude to my father. Rolling his eyes and shaking his head, saying things like "it's pretty simple, guys..." when asked politely to break down the costs on our receipt. You'd think he would be more patient with seniors, considering how many of them frequent the course. He was a tall white man with a bun hair style, for reference. Otherwise, the course is nice, but the ambient noise level being surrounded by highway and underneath the planes and helicopters is distracting and adds an irritant to an already irritating game. Combine that with a near $200 for three people to ride, and I will never be back. I'll be heading over to Spring Valley for a better and cheaper experience from now on.

Overall the course was in a decent condition except for the bunker and green. As we had some rain in the week, the sand bunker was not sandy any more. It seemed there was not much of sand originally, and it completely flattened down from the rain. Putting for me was very difficult and later I found that it was not just for me. Seemed like the greens were not maintained for a while..

Good course to play, has its challenges but nonetheless in good conditions compared to years past. Greens could use a bit of work along their bunkers, fairways are the exception, well kept and rough areas have improved. The improvements on the course are noticed however I would hope that would translate to the customer experience. Few times I’ve walked into a pro shop and not feel welcome, today was yet another reminder why I don’t play the course as much. I noticed their site has all twilight time available so I gave it a chance, tee times showed $32 on their site, as a walk in I was being charge $45, I mentioned the prices online only to find out there is a $13 charge for walk ins? Never heard of anything like this, proceed to try and book tee time online, booked a tee time for 5:30, pro shop employee made sure I waited for 30 minutes and did not let me tee off any time before even if there were no other players in front of me. Sunnyvale muni could learn some customer service tips from neighboring courses and be up to par, hopefully others have better experiences.

As far as muni golf courses go, Sunnyvale ain't too bad. If you're golfing for fun or just a beginner, a course like this will be enjoyable. Came here with some friends in a weekend afternoon and had a low stakes fun time. It's well kept enough.
