Overall, this was a disappointing experience, especially for a $150 round. The bathrooms were disgusting, and the overall customer service left a lot to be desired. We never received an email with the course dress code, so it would have been helpful if staff had mentioned it when we checked in. I would have gladly purchased appropriate attire from the shop if I’d known-no big deal. Maybe wait till we’re leaving and not when we are trying to hurry so we don’t have people behind rushing us. Blake thought it was ok that they told us to hurry when we were teeing off at check in. Said they did nothing wrong when our time had just started. (We got there early) but didn’t tell me at that time that there’s a dress code? I felt he was very unprofessional and inconsiderate. Before we had even started our round, while the women in our group were still teeing off on the first hole, an employee walked up and told us we needed to hurry up and keep the pace moving because the group behind us was waiting. Our tee time had literally just begun, so the comment felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Golf is already hard as it is for people who have just started and for someone to rush you when you haven’t started a hole is very inconsiderate. We know how to keep a pace as beginners because we are considerate of better players. It was just rude to us. What made the interaction even more unprofessional was that the check in employee spent the time telling us he was hungover and wasn’t even supposed to be working that day.. He was better off telling us then and there to make sure we got things going sooner than later and also tell me about the dress code. For the price, I expected cleaner facilities and a much more professional, customer-focused experience. The lake smelled so bad too.

I will never spend my money at a business that runs without the best interest of their customers in mind. I come in BEFORE sunset and the range is CLOSED. Upon asking the employees (who always have an attitude and are snarky — one time they hung up on me before the conversation finished) what time they typically close, they said it varies depending on how busy it is. The inconsistency is crazy to me and unacceptable for customers who are going out of their way to spend their money here. you’re better off driving the extra miles to go to golf development complex where their hours are consistent.

The course is always in fine condition. However the people in the pro-shop are rude, entitled, and racist. If you are a POC I do not recommend playing here. I used to play here everyday preparing for my amateur events and I am continued to be disrespected. They make you ride with randoms as a single even if you have asthma and the other guy is smoking a full pack of cigarettes. I used to love this place but now don’t see the need to drive out when treated like dirt especially as a scratch golfer.

A top-tier muni course known for its meticulously maintained fairways and fast, undulating greens that offer a rewarding challenge. Green fee is very reasonable, and the pace of play is refreshingly smooth—no long waits, just pure golf enjoyment. Definitely playing again.

Always an excellent time at Simi Hills. The prices are great, the course is beautiful and well maintained, and the customer service is on point in all areas. Even if you don’t golf, the patio at grill on the green is a great place to kick back, relax, and have a drink. Shout out to Tim at the golf shop, he’s always super accommodating!
