Golfed on June 27, 2026. It's a nice course. It has a few warts, but nothing that would impact most players games. Some rough areas outside the fairways (e.g., gopher holes) and a couple of greens that had small bare spots. But it's fun and challenging and the 9th hole is reminiscent of TPC Sawgrass with the hole surrounded by water. Fees were reasonable. We paid $63 for a 1:20 tee time and play was not backed up. Bring your own water and food because the grill usually closes early in the afternoon. We will go back again.

There's a lot of long Par 3 holes here in San Ramon, each one is like 180 - 200+ yards, so you'll need to practice your wood or long irons' accuracy to get on the greens. I like Hole 9, kind of their signature Hole, you first need to drive the ball to the front of the lake surrounding the green 🍏, and then approach your shot onto the island green, somehow like a PGA course design, lovely 😍 I also like Hole 10, it's a dog-leg left Par 4, remember to look back to the fairway when you're on the green, the view to the valley is just amazing . You know what, actually the entire Back 9 is all nice holes with good condition and view, love it !!!

Played an early afternoon round after a heavy raining day. The course drained well for the most part, only a few spots were muddy. The green and fairway are in good shape and the pace was surprisingly good for a weekend round. San Ramon has been my go-to course this winter.

The course is in the beautiful east bay surrounded by mountains. I went in for the twilight round and the golden hours breathe new life into your game. The course itself is surrounded by homes, beautiful backyards yet doesn’t feel constrained. Some people (not me!) can expect some sliced drives to fly into homes - tho, they seem to have been quite resigned to it. Front nine are comfortable and back nine get long and a bit more difficult. Nothing a reasonable weekend hack cannot navigate. You could take the cart but it’s walkable in general. Absolutely no clubhouse though. A little candy vending stand and completely desolate excuse of a restaurant has never seen any customers that I know of. The restroom is a mystery quest. The prison is a dungeon and the driving range is stuck in the 80’s. But if you want to get a round in with zero fuss and take in some fresh air with the evening glow within awesome surroundings this is your home club.

It was my first time visiting, and I was flustered because I lost the ball in the first half. There were more challenges than I thought, and it was a fun game. It seems like a good course for beginners because there is a lot of flat ground, but it's not always easy. Although the bunker management was completely lacking, the course wasn't bad. I recommend you to visit it at least once.
