Both 18-Hole Tony Lema and 9-Hole are fun and challenging. Amazing views and good vibes. They may have one of the better driving ranges around. Their new chef added an excellent menu to the experience. Still my favorite course in the bay.

Be ready for steady wind throughout the course! Unless you play super early morning, the wind out of the bay is relentless, and often quite annoying. The greens and fairways are quite nice and challenging in this links style course. We played 18 holes starting at 3pm and were quite comfortably done by around 8 pm. This was during peak summer. Pace of play is quite ok and there was a bit of waiting backup. The vistas and views are spectacular. One could see the stream of aircraft approach the Oakland airport and of course the San Francisco skyline. To fill the heart further, the sounds and shrieks of joy from the picnickers and the beach goers from nearby waterfront - keeps me coming back. Notwithstanding that pesky wind.

I played 18 here today with friends. It always windy here so plan to be cold. The course was a treat and in great condition right now. Fairways good, green excellent…smoth and seem to roll true. I had lunch and it was good and served quickly. Thanks for having such a great track. Ill be back but better prepared for the cool breeze.

Monarch Bay’s 9 hole course is beginner friendly, a popular choice for many juniors and families. The fairways are well kept, & the greens run at a moderate pace. Distance to the holes are around 80-200 yards (200+ yards are par 4s). On some holes, the bunker is placed to block shots from making the green. Juniors play free. Overall Difficulty: 5/10 (On days there are tournaments at the 18-Hole course, it may get pretty busy.)

Very busy range. Pls simply block the bays with their clubs and bags, but no where to be seen. Too many training and coaching staff occupying a lot of bays. Greens are kept well. Fairways to an extent but could improve, specially the par 5s. Came here almost 6/7 times and every time the weather is a mess with high winds in the PM. Cold and gusty winds make playing conditions miserable. Wonder what the situation in the AM.
