Driving range is very limited. Not many spaces. Putting green is also a bit small. I was still very impressed with this executive course. The conditions were great. Cost is cheap. Carts are slow but they were still fine. The guy I interacted w at the pro shop was the best experience I’ve had at any golf course. And I’ve played 99% of public courses in San Diego. Answered all my questions quickly and even came out of the shop to expedite my cart assignment because I arrived late and had to catch up to my group. The course did feel easy which was nice because I’m really bad at golf. Very open but still looked nice. The par4s were nice. You could use driver on most of them (230-300yd). The vibe here is pretty chill. Many younger players and new players walking.

Oaks north is a great executive course in the san diego area. The staff are all friendly, Greens are in great shape, fairways in great shape, and tee areas were pretty good most holes. Many of the par 3s range in the 160-180 yard range from the back tees, so be prepared, you will have alot of challenging full length holes to play here. All the par 4s are at the 300 yard and below range, making for a nice change of pace and fun scoring opportunities. All and all this is a great neighborhood course if you live within a reasonable distance. Price point is also reasonable for the conditions that you get. I would recommend you go try this course out if you live within a 20 minute drive or so. Go have a great time!

As others have mentioned, this course is a great deal for the quality of the greens and everything in between. This review is more of a shoutout to the people who keep the place running and friendly. I went out for a quick 9 on the 4th of July and had a rough round feeling like I forgot how to swing a club. After the round I casually joked about it with Reed who was handling carts, then headed to the range to try to fix things. After he wrapped up some closing duties, Reed came over and passed along a few tips he’d gotten from his coach Paul, who was working the pro shop desk. A couple minutes later, Paul himself came down and basically gave me a full lesson. I started worrying I was holding up closing on a holiday, but Paul waved it off and kept helping until things clicked again. He helped get me back on track without forcing me to abandon the “swing your swing” element of it. Reed also gave me a couple Pro-V1s he found which is a total bro move to help give my next round better odds. Honestly though, those balls will be lost out there for him or someone else to find again soon. Anyways, I would’ve probably gone home frustrated, but instead left feeling grateful for the time those two put in when they didn’t have to. They could’ve easily hung back in the pro shop til closing or rushed me along, but they didn’t. I’ll continue to come back for the quick, fun rounds and driving range (and its upcoming revamp), but now I’ll also be coming back for lessons since Paul is the kind of coach I’d want dialing in my game.

Best overall course. Great for beginners and seasoned players. They have 3 separate 9 hole courses. Sometimes the people are cool, sometimes they are difficult. I did the membership for 20/30 or something like that and it was a great program and incentive. If it wasn’t for that, I probably wouldn’t have cared to visit or comment. I highly recommend this course.

Oaks North Golf Course is a walkable, par-3–focused course featuring three 9-hole layouts (Par 30 each) for a total of 27 holes. The course is well maintained, the staff are friendly, and the pricing is very reasonable. A charming and scenic spot for an enjoyable, low-pressure round.
