Very narrow, sloped holes and challenging course. Im a 15 handicap and lost about 2 sleeves of balls thru 18. First time playing this course, decided to go on a Monday morning, the field crews were out watering the greens so it made them quite slow but playable. Pro shop (Ed) was super friendly and made my first time memorable, I will definitely be back with my buddies. Nice little hidden gem in south oc. The food was great as well!!

I had the pleasure of playing Shorecliffs Golf Club back in October and was thoroughly impressed. The course itself is a unique blend of challenge and beauty, winding its way through houses and earning its nickname "The Ditch" thanks to the strategic bunkering and elevation changes. Despite a few well-worn tee boxes, the layout was well-maintained and offered a super friendly experience, catering to golfers of all skill levels. I'm particularly excited to see how the new hole will integrate into the course! The brand new clubhouse was a delight, boasting a clean and modern atmosphere with helpful staff and a well-stocked pro shop. The highlight, however, were the par 3s, each offering a unique challenge and plenty of fun. Finishing the round with the last four holes leading back to the clubhouse was truly breathtaking, showcasing the stunning coastal scenery. Overall, Shorecliffs exceeded my expectations. With reasonable green fees, an awesome layout, and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend this club to anyone looking for a memorable round in a beautiful setting.

This review is for 501 restaurant, not the golf course. This is to give accolades to a lovely, hard working young lady, Alexandra, who has worked there for as long as I've been eating there...3 years. I've dined at the restaurant on several days and evenings, solo and with others and always leave feeling appreciated and respected. Plain and simple, Alex makes 501 restaurant worth visiting. I've watched her work harder than anyone on that property. She is so attentive. My career is in hospitality and I honestly thought this young lady, Alex, was the General manager. The manner which she handles herself, her staff and the customers is above and beyond what I've seen in my 40 years experience. I visited 501 a few days ago, when Alex just happen to have a day off and from now on, I will call to be sure she is there. During my most recent visit, When I asked to speak with a manager, (assuming someone must be in charge in Alex's absence), a cook from the kitchen, Aaron, came out to me and rudely announced to me how I was mistaken about "who was in charge at 501". Look, I just wanted to let someone know about my superb experiences with Alex and how I've seen her go out of her way for their customers, I was just trying to give her some much deserved credit, not get insulted by some cook with a bad attitude. My efforts went unrealized. So, I decided to call the following day and ask how I could get my opinions in to the owner or someone who could relay them to whoever they need to, so Alex could be rewarded for her hard work. Shockingly, i found out that there is another guy who is the general manager?? I was shocked. I've never seen this "Louis" man and have left him 3 messages without any return call from him yet. I honestly thought the guy on the phone was punking me about this Louis guy, until I looked at their website. Long story short, Alex, or whoever owns that restaurant, thank you for always making mine and my families dining experiences so special. Alex, you are why we will continue to visit. Thank you for all you do...... and I hope Louis shows up one day to give you a raise, you deserve it!

I walked on as a single and paid with my Credit card. Pro shop said my card didn’t go through and asked if I had cash. Weird. The transaction went through and I’m in the process of disputing this with my bank. Called the course for a manager and left a message. Still haven’t heard from the course. A business should never charge double for a simple transaction. Tee boxes were brutal. A horse track has better grass. Would be a 1 star but the greens are decent and the cart lady was nice so 2 starts. Hopefully I can get an answer about charging my credit card and then asking for cash..

The course is absolutely horrendous. Do not play here! They charge 50 something dollars when it should be 25 max. The course is in horrible condition. Seems like they put all their money into a clubhouse and forgot about the golf course. I will never come back here, ever! Do yourself a favor and don’t come.
